2026 NFL Draft Total Quarterbacks Drafted in First Round

When it comes to the over/under analysis on quarterbacks, it boils down to whether or not you believe Ty Simpson will go in the first round.

At this point, I would be stunned if he didn’t. It’s a matter of where he’ll go with many teams having quarterback needs after the Las Vegas Raiders. This includes the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and potentially even the Los Angeles Rams depending on Matthew Stafford’s future beyond this season.

The Cardinals have always been the team I’ve seen Simpson landing with. They might trade down from No. 3 and take him, or trade back up into the first round from No. 34 overall in the second round.

While the odds are -215, this prop offers some of the best value on this list.

Pick: Pass

2026 NFL Draft Total Cornerbacks Drafted in First Round

The cornerback position is going to be an interesting one.

Right out of the gate, there are two cornerbacks I feel incredibly confident in going in the first round. That’s Mansoor Delane and Jermod McCoy. The jury was still somewhat out on McCoy since he didn’t perform at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he did at his Pro Day, and he was sensational, recording a 10’7” broad jump, 38” vertical, and a 4.37 40-yard dash.

From there, there are two other cornerbacks that make sense for the first round that includes Colton Hood and Avieon Terrell

Hood is the type of player a team in the 20s would like because of his willingness to play press-man. He makes a bunch of sense for a team like the Kansas City Chiefs, who acquired the No. 29 overall pick from the Rams for Trent McDuffie

As for Terrell, the brother of former Atlanta Falcons first-round pick A.J. Terrell, he’s athletic and can play both inside and outside. His versatility is something a team like the Seattle Seahawks, with the last pick in the first round, would admire after losing some defensive back talent in free agency.

There are other nice cornerback prospects such as Brandon Cisse, D’Angelo Ponds, Chris Johnson, and Keith Abney II. I struggle to pair them with teams that have needs at other positions, however.

Expect this line to be close come draft night, perhaps landing on four exactly.

Pick: Pass

2026 NFL Total Offensive Lineman Drafted in First Round

There are plenty of offensive linemen in this draft class, whether those are pure guards or tackles in college who’ll convert to guard at the NFL level.

That said, we’re not deliberating what position they’ll play outside of just simply being offensive linemen.

This is a tricky one as there are about five I feel pretty safe with that include Francis Mauigoa, Spencer Fano, Monroe Freeling, Olaivavega Ioane, and Kadyn Proctor

There are also a handful of guys such as Blake Miller, Max Iheanachor, and Caleb Lomu

With those guys, that would be over at eight.

The one player I go back and forth with regarding the first round is Iheanachor. He’s an incredibly raw prospect that fits the billing of an offensive tackle, but would a team be willing to take him in the first round? Of course, finding offensive linemen is always a tall task, so his positional value could lead to him being a first-round pick. Given the +120 odds, lean under.

Pick: Under 7.5 (+120)

2026 NFL Total Running Backs Drafted in First Round

Daniel Jeremiah recently posted a mock draft with Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price going in the first round, with the Seahawks claiming one. Sure, they lost Kenneth Walker III, but that just feels slightly too high for Price who falls more in the second-round category.

With that No. 32 pick, the Seahawks could very well just trade out. If they do stick and pick, there will be other talent at more premium positions available such as defensive backs like Hood or Terrell, or perhaps adding more talent to the defense.

A pick of Price at No. 32 would shock me, but they could potentially get him in the second round if they wanted to trade up. There are other prospects like Mike Washington Jr. to be had. While I’m leaning under, I don’t hate the idea of taking the over from a value perspective at +550.

Pick: Pass

2026 NFL Total Safeties Drafted in First Round

There are three fantastic safety prospects in this 2026 NFL Draft class that includes Caleb Downs, Dillon Thieneman, and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren

All three of those guys will go in the first round.

Downs is arguably the best overall prospect in the draft when you don’t consider the position he plays. Thienemenan had an unbelievable combine and McNeil-Warren (while he’s coming from a small school like Toledo) has a case study of a proven Toledo defensive back in Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell

Of those three, people may be the least familiar with McNeil-Warren. Understandable given the school, but he’s big and likes to make hits. He also tries to make plays on the ball.

Expect these three to go in the first round and hit the “over” on this prop, but it’s too expensive currently.

Pick: Pass

2026 NFL Total Tight Ends Drafted in First Round

After Kenyon Sadiq, the only player who even has the slightest chance to go in the first round at the tight end position is Eli Stowers. That’s because of his mind-boggling combine.

He was 96th-percentile or better in the 40-yard dash, broad jump, and vertical jump. He had a vertical jump of 45.5 inches, which is just otherworldly.

Stowers is undersized for the position, is new to it after being a quarterback convert, and he’d be used in a more specific role that wouldn’t go in the first round.

The under odds are terrible, but it’s the right call.

Pick: Pass

2026 NFL Total Wide Receivers Drafted in First Round

Finally, we’ll get some value here by taking the over at 5.5 and +185 odds.

There are only so many spots where receivers can go and there are only 32 picks in the first round. There are six guys about as certain as can be for a first-round picks that includes Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson, Omar Cooper Jr., Denzel Boston, and KC Concepcion

Everyone knows the first three players, but Cooper Jr. has been a bit of a riser. Boston is a big-body receiver, but he didn’t have the greatest combin. Concepcion is a man coverage beater, but had issues with drops in college.

Of this group, the two I’m most worried about are Boston and Concepcion. Still, Boston’s size and ability to line up inside and outside will be great for a team looking for a WR1-like frame. As for Concepcion, his type of speed and ability to beat man coverage isn’t something that comes around all too often.

Concepcion’s drop issues could be too much for teams, and understandably so. Look to a pick like the Miami Dolphins at No. 30 overall to help get quarterback Malik Willis a weapon.

Lean over as there are enough talented players to get to six receivers in the first round.

Pick: Over 5.5 (+185)
