Clemson Tigers 2026 College Football Preview, Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

Uncertainty surrounds Clemson entering the 2026 college football season after another disappointing campaign by the program’s recent standards. Following a 7-6 finish in 2025 and a fourth missed College Football Playoff appearance in five years, pressure is beginning to mount on coach Dabo Swinney heading into a pivotal season for the program.

Clemson responded with important offseason moves, including the return of Chad Morris as offensive coordinator and a strong transfer portal class.

In this preview, we’ll break down Clemson’s national championship odds, ACC title odds, Heisman Trophy candidates, and season win totals while evaluating whether the Tigers can rebound in 2026.

2026 College Football Betting Resources

Clemson Tigers 2026 College Football National Championship Odds

National Title Odds:

The Clemson Tigers are currently +8000 to win the National Championship. After a disappointing 7-6 season, it’s not surprising to see the Tigers listed as such longshots. This is especially after quarterback Cade Klubnik got drafted by the Jets. Christopher Vizzina is a major wild card as he takes over under center.

Clemson Tigers 2026 ACC Championship Odds

ACC Title Odds:

Clemson is listed at +1400 to win the ACC, behind Louisville (+800), SMU (+700), and Miami FL (-135).

The Tigers should improve after bringing in defensive reinforcements through the transfer portal, including lineman Markus Strong from Oklahoma and defensive back Elliott Washington II from Penn State. However, even at an appealing price like +1400 odds, it’s tough to see such a dramatic leap as to win the ACC after a disappointing 2025 season.

The Hurricanes are the heavy favorites after coming off a loss in the National Championship vs. Indiana. At quarterback, the Hurricanes replaced Carson Beck with Darian Mensah, who just led Duke to an ACC title. Needless to say, Miami will be a force to be reckoned with once again. It’s hard to see a scenario where they don’t win the ACC.

Clemson Tigers 2026 Win Total Odds

Win Total Odds:

Clemson finished 7-6 overall last year, but the market expects them to go over 7.5 wins in 2026, as it’s currently a bit juiced at -135 odds. Even at this price, I like the over here.

Bringing back Chad Morris as offensive coordinator maintains stability in the offense, which is good news for a new starting quarterback like Christopher Vizzina. That’s the type of continuity that a first-year starter needs to ease his transition.

The schedule also presents several opportunities for Clemson to reach eight wins. While there are difficult matchups against LSU, Miami, Florida State, and South Carolina, Clemson still has multiple favorable games on the schedule. Matchups against Georgia Southern, Charleston Southern, Duke, Syracuse, Cal, and Virginia Tech are winnable on paper.

There’s also a strong possibility Clemson’s defense improves after adding experienced transfer talent, including Markus Strong and Elliot Washington II. Combined with standout linebacker Sammy Brown and one of the ACC’s better receiving duos in Bryant Wesco and T.J. Moore, the roster still contains enough high-end talent to compete near the top half of the conference.

Clemson has reached at least eight wins in 15 of Swinney’s 17 full seasons, so bet on the bounce back here, even at -135 odds.

Clemson Tigers 2026 Heisman Contenders, Odds

Christopher Vizzina, QB:

Quarterback Christopher Vizzina has the shortest odds to win the Heisman among Clemson players. Vizzina is a major longshot at +12000 odds. We’ve seen major surprises win the Heisman in the past, but even with continuity in scheme, it’s hard to see a scenario where Vizzina dominates enough to take home this award.
