WynnBet Louisiana Update
Louisiana’s sports betting fate has now reached the apex of its journey as the only thing that is needed now is the governor’s signature. For Louisiana sports and sports betting fans, this is fantastic news, as the governor has been known to be very pro-sports betting, so this is merely a formality. When Gov. Edwards signs the bill, sports betting will be legalized in 55 of the state’s 64 parishes (districts). Even residents of parishes where it is not legal yet will still be able to place bets as long as they are geo-located in one of the legal parishes. Optimists think that the likely time frame for legalization will be right around the kickoff of football season this fall.
WynnBet Louisiana Promo code
WynnBet Louisiana will offer a risk-free bet of up to $500 for new users who use the promo code when sports betting is legalized. Optimists are hoping that time will be this fall. This promotion seems to be very consistent amongst all states that WynnBet is currently available to place sports bets. It is improbable that the promotion will change between now and when sports betting is legalized in Louisiana, but stay tuned just in case. The promotion itself is not as strong as BetMGM, DraftKings, or FanDuel offer, but it is still relatively competitive.

WynnBet Louisiana Desktop Review
WynnBet features an online site split into two segments: casino and sportsbook. The two tabs are located at the top of the screen next to the WynnBet logo.
The desktop version of the site has dedicated the right third of the page of your bets and bet slips. I like that layout, so you can always keep an eye on them while perusing through the site.
In terms of the sportsbook, one significant change I would make is to give the far left tab more of a purpose. Currently, all it does is enlarge text that is already there. It’s a waste of space and could easily be replaced with a list of sports going vertically down the left side of the screen.
WynnBet does make it easy to search for games with the search bar, and all of the sports are listed horizontally at the top. However, the site would be better if once you clicked on an actual sport, there was another option to choose the type of bet you are looking to place.
WynnBet Louisiana Top 3 Types of Wagers
While WynnBet doesn’t necessarily have the betting versatility that other major sportsbooks have at this moment, there are still plenty of different bets you can place on its app and online page.
WynnBet is pretty competitive with its lines, and this can sometimes best be utilized with live in-game betting. It has live, up-to-date stats that reflect the respective game’s trends. This type of bet can help you get a feel for a game’s direction and potentially make proper adjustments and get more favorable lines.
I’m also a big fan of WynnBet’s list of futures for the upcoming college football season. It has been on top of releasing odds for the over and the under on win totals for the teams. In addition, WynnBet has college football playoff futures, conference winner futures, and Heisman futures, even though it is only June.
Parlays are another wager type I’m a fan of on WynnBet. They are super easy to place, and you can place them on several different sports. All of your selections show up under your Betslip tab and make it easy to track what you have chosen by seeing all of them on the main page.
Louisiana is in the last steps of legalizing sports betting and making many residents very happy. Since 2018, the attempt to legalize sports betting has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. As time progressed, the failed attempts became more strategic and were sponsored by new names. Once November 2020 came around, the people were ready to exercise their right to vote and, consequently, get this bill moving in the right direction. Finally, it gained some traction, and legalized sports betting is ahead at the next mile marker.
May 2018: Supreme Court got rid of a law that banned sports betting in 2018 and consequently opened the doors for states to decide whether they want sports betting legalized or not.
June 2019: A bill that featured the legalization of sports betting failed.
March 2020: Behind the sponsorship of Republican Senate President Page Cortez, a new sports betting bill began to gain traction.
November 2020: The majority of parishes (55 of 64) vote in favor of sports betting, allowing the bill to continue to be voted on in the Senate.
May 2021: Additional legislation is still needed to get the bill passed.
June 2021: The bill successfully passes through the Louisiana House 78-15 and will soon be placed in front of Gov. John Bel Edwards.
Future Bet: LSU to Win Over 8.5 Games (-130)
I like this bet, mainly because of the Tigers’ schedule.
They play UCLA, McNeese, Central Michigan, and Mississippi State in their first four games. Those should all be wins. Then, they host Auburn, who hasn’t won in Death Valley in over 20 years.
I anticipate they start 5-0 without building up a sweat.
LSU will then take its talents to Kentucky to try and sneak away with one on the road: the outcome here is a bit less of a guarantee, but I feel good about LSU getting to 6-0 here. If the Tigers can beat Kentucky, they would only need to secure three of their next six games to hit the over. In a few of those games, LSU is a heavy favorite, in my opinion, including ULM, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. I also really like the Tigers to win against Florida at home. LSU will likely drop two games: Alabama on the road, which can be marked as a loss with a permanent sharpie, and the Texas A&M Aggies, which the Tigers will host at home.
My optimistic prediction for LSU is 10-2 with its only two losses coming to Alabama on the road and Texas A&M at home, and my worst-case scenario is 9-3, with one additional loss to Florida. Either way, the Tigers would cover the over.

Sports betting in Louisiana is not legal yet. Things are looking optimistic for sports betting fans, though, as the sole obstacle left is the governor’s signature. Many speculators don’t foresee this being an issue because Governor Edwards’s stance in the past on this is that he is for sports betting.
Most of the promotions that have been offered for new state launches have been a free bet up to $500. This will likely continue when sports betting is finally legalized sometime in 2021 or early 2022 at the very latest.

Name: WynnBet Louisiana
Description: WynnBet Louisiana is a sportsbook associated with Wynn Resorts. It is not the first hospitality company to maneuver into the online betting space as MGM did it just a few years before, with its app BetMGM. WynnBet has a reputable name, brand, and history that has been around a while. It is slowly covering ground and will turn itself into a strong force in this space.

WynnBet was established in 2020 after Wynn Resorts announced it would partner with UK sports betting operator BetBull. It has been around for less than a year but is still making a splash in the online sports betting market. Backed by Wynn Resorts, a very reputable brand, similar to MGM, Wynn looks to close the gap between it and other big players like FanDuel and DraftKings. WynnBet is a little late to the party, as it only established its online sportsbook in 2020. However, WynnBet comes from Wynn Resorts, a very well-established and trustworthy name in hospitality and resorts, much like MGM.
- Trusted company with a strong brand and history, much like MGM.
- Competitive lines.
- Easy to navigate the online site.
- Email, Live chat, and phone support.
- Lacks day-to-day promotions that more prominent sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel offer.
- Fewer deposit methods than some of the other established online sportsbooks.
