Atlanta has been on the verge of big success the last few seasons, and their balance of young and older stars is going to keep them in playoff consideration for the next few years. Freddie Freeman has been one of the top hitters in the game, and now there are a few names joining him. In terms of the infield, the Braves have two strong catchers with Travis d’Arnaud and Tyler Flowers. Ozzie Albies is one of the top switch hitting second basemen in the game, and brings some power to the position as well. Dansby Swanson may not have hit his value for where he was drafted, but Swanson is a solid defensive shortstop and has flashed upside at times. Atlanta’s outfield is the strong part of their depth chart, as they signed Marcell Ozuna on a one year deal, but have Ronald Acuna and Nick Markakis. The Braves organization is also loaded with young pitching.
