The absence of Gerrit Cole will set them back a bit on the strong rotation, but Houston having Justin Verlander, Zack Greinke, and Lance McCullers returning is still going to keep their pitching numbers within the top half of the league. The Astros are still a stacked depth chart, with and without the banging trash cans coming from the dugout. Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Carlos Correa create one of the top infields in the game. Even Yuli Gurriel is an overlooked part of this team. Adding Michael Brantley gave them another big name, who is one of the better contact bats. George Springer is a big part of this organization, and is another name who was home grown. Kyle Tucker is a young and upcoming player, but it is not quite clear there will be regular playing time for him just yet. The only down spot on the depth chart is the catcher position.
