One of the older teams in baseball is the St. Louis Cardinals. Yadier Molina still headlines the infield, as the backstop behind the dish. They have a long time ago top prospect, Matt Wieters backing him up. This will be Paul Goldschmidt’s second year with the team, and he posted his usual solid numbers in 2019. Matt Carpenter continued to struggle, and he will need to get back to his old self if the Cardinals will get any production from the hot corner. Otherwise Tommy Edman will be seeing much more playing time. The outfielder needs a big overhaul, as they don’t have a ton of names producing. Letting Marcell Ozuna go took a right-handed bat out of the order. The Cardinals rotation is teetering a bit, as names like Adam Wainwright and Carlos Martinez have been so up and down lately. Jack Flaherty has been the ace, and posted a dominant second half of the season in 2019.
