Houston secured the number two pick in this year’s draft and was able to add star guard Jalen Green to its roster. Still, the Rockets are in complete rebuilding mode and thus have only locked down four nationally televised games. That ties for the lowest in the NBA with several other teams. The Rockets belong to the Southwest division in the Western Conference. That division also has the New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, and Memphis Grizzlies. Houston will not be as competitive as the Mavericks or Pelicans, but it could beat out the Spurs or Grizzlies because of its young talent. The Rockets have 13 back-to-backs, which is not too bad but is hardly more than a consolation prize for only securing four nationally televised games. Regardless, Houston has a bright future down the line.
