Kalshi runs on the same six-category scorecard, making it the most direct side-by-side available right now.
OG Prediction Markets Review: Trade $25, Get $25
My Verdict
Our testing scores OG at 3.9 out of 5: a real, CFTC-regulated way to trade event contracts, strongest in Banking (a payout cleared in 60 seconds once a market settled) and weakest in Responsible Trading, where only one of seven safety tools we looked for actually checked out.
For traders weighing other options, Lineups keeps a running best prediction markets list worth a look.
Testing Evidence
Each number on this page traces back to something our reviewer actually did, not a claim pulled from OG’s marketing pages.

$9 in, $16.00 to win
Our reviewer opened a Bills +3.5 position for $8.76 in cost, set to win $16.00.

Paid out in 60 seconds
Held through the final whistle, the NFL payout landed as withdrawable cash in 60 seconds, the fastest settlement we’ve seen in this vertical.

A quick exit still costs 8.62%
Cashing out a $0.58 NFL position after 20 minutes cost 8.62%, with no line-item fee to show for it.

A slower market, a 9.64% bite
Unwinding a $0.83 position on the Florida governor’s race ran 9.64%.

Rejected once, then 18 hours
Our first withdrawal sat in a two-day bank review before being rejected; a repeat attempt cleared in 18 hours.

9 minutes, 20 seconds to a human
Once a person picked up, only one of our five test questions came back fully right; a deposit-limit question drew an unrelated article link.
OG promotions | 3.2/5
What a welcome offer costs to actually unlock, restrictions and all, is what sets this score — the headline dollar figure on its own tells a reader very little.
What the welcome offer actually gets you
Code LINEUPS activates a straightforward 1-for-1 deal: a $25 trade earns $25 back as trading credit.

Two things narrow that offer in practice: eligible contracts have to price under $0.80, and the credit lapses once seven days pass from identity verification without a qualifying trade.
Beyond the welcome offer
Two more incentives sit alongside it: a $10-for-$10 referral deal that pays out once a friend signs up and trades

and a VIP tier, approval required, built around perks like a dedicated account manager

What actually stands out costs a trader nothing to enter: the Pick of the Week, where a correct call shares a $10,000 pool with everyone else who got it right, anywhere from $1 to $50 a head.

Why we rated promotions 3.2 / 5
A modest welcome credit keeps Promotions at 3.2 out of 5, propped up somewhat by a prize draw that costs new traders nothing to try.
OG market coverage | 3.9/5
Rather than taking a homepage’s word for it, this score comes from counting what’s actually tradeable. Six of OG’s eight major categories are live, with north of 1,000 markets between them.
Where the depth really is
Sports leads everything else by a wide margin at 764 live markets.

Behind it sit politics (132), crypto (89), culture (12), economics and business (9) and climate (1); Geopolitics and Tech & Science have no presence at all.
League-by-league sports depth
Checking all 27 leagues one by one, eight cleared a real bar of depth — five-plus live markets apiece, not a placeholder listing: football (NFL 78, NCAA 152), soccer (329), basketball (NBA 70), hockey (NHL 28), baseball (MLB 21), tennis (18) and MMA/UFC (13).

Smaller sports such as darts and cricket were barely represented.
Settlement sourcing and combo trades
Combos let a trader stack several positions into one entry, parlay-style, though this round of testing didn’t dig into how an early exit or a blended price actually works — worth confirming before leaning on it. Resolution sourcing came out strong: 9 of 11 markets sampled pointed to a specific, independent and objective source, with both gaps landing on sports outcomes where the actual winner was never genuinely contested.

Why we rated market coverage 3.9 / 5
Market coverage lands at 3.9 out of 5 on the strength of real sports depth and dependable settlement sourcing, with two unoffered categories the only real drag.
OG banking | 4.9/5
Nine distinct ways to deposit or withdraw are on offer here.

A near-instant settlement clock
Rather than exit early, our reviewer kept an NFL position open through the final whistle; the instant that game ended, the payout landed as withdrawable cash in 60 seconds, the quickest settlement turnaround seen anywhere in this vertical to date.
Funding options and one rough withdrawal
Options run the gamut — debit card, Venmo, PayPal, Google Pay, Plaid-linked bank transfer, ACH, wire, crypto, Real-Time Payment — starting at a $1 minimum, and every fee quoted in testing (1.49% to 1.99%) came back waived.

Withdrawing wasn’t as smooth the first time: a two-day bank review ended in an outright rejection, though a repeat attempt went through cleanly in 18 hours.

Why we rated banking 4.9 / 5
A near-instant settlement clock and nine real ways to move money put Banking at 4.9 out of 5; a single bumpy withdrawal is the only real mark against it.
OG liquidity | 3.2/5
This score measures the hidden cost of simply entering and leaving a position, apart from any formal trading fee — thin markets can eat into a trade’s value even when no line-item charge ever shows up. A hard 24-hour volume figure is nowhere to be found on OG’s platform.
The real cost of two test trades

A fast 20-minute exit from a $0.58 NFL position cost 8.62%

a slower-moving $0.83 wager tied to a Florida governor’s race ran 9.64% to unwind.

One bright spot: the order book itself checked out, real size sitting at every price level, and YES/NO prices summing close to 100% across every NFL market sampled.

Why we rated liquidity 3.2 / 5
A trustworthy, well-stocked order book counts for something, but 3.2 out of 5 reflects the real number: 8.6% to 9.6% lost simply getting in and back out.
OG customer support | 4.5/5
Two channels carry official status: live chat (an AI bot answers first, a human second) and social media.

A documented disputes process, a slow handoff
The clock ran nine minutes and 20 seconds before a real person picked up the chat.

That representative then fielded five fixed test questions: one came back exactly right, two were half-right, and two whiffed entirely — a deposit-limit question, for instance, got answered with an unrelated article link instead of a real answer. Disputes at least have a real track to run on: OG commits to a decision within 10 days, and its terms point to the National Futures Association and binding arbitration in Cook County, Illinois, as the formal fallback.
Why we rated customer support 4.5 / 5
Customer Support lands at 4.5 out of 5 thanks to a real disputes process on record, though the nine-minute wait and a handful of shaky answers kept it off a perfect score.
OG user experience & responsible trading | 3.7/5
This figure blends two separate checks: whether OG is actually enjoyable day to day, and whether Responsible Trading, this industry’s version of a casino floor’s Responsible Gambling program, is real once a trader starts looking for it. The software held up; the safety net mostly didn’t.
A clean app, one real gap
iOS, Android and the browser version are all fully built out, not stripped-down companions to a “real” desktop site.

Mobile does lose one thing desktop keeps: the order book. Nothing crashed and nothing hung during testing, and the split between spendable cash and collateral tied up in open positions stayed easy to read.

Identity verification is real; most safety tools aren’t
Before any trade can go through, OG needs a legal name, a birthdate, and four digits off a Social Security number at minimum — with a step-up ID photo and selfie when that first pass doesn’t satisfy the system.

It’s the only one of the seven Responsible Trading checks that actually came back positive; funding limits, loss caps, session timers, cool-off windows, self-exclusion, and crisis-line resources were each hunted down individually and none of them surfaced, no matter how confidently OG’s chatbot insisted otherwise. A top-traders leaderboard rounds things out with a gamification touch.

For context only, not folded into the score: Google Play has OG’s app at 4.3 stars across 885 reviews, and the Apple App Store puts it at 4.5 stars across 1,700.
Why we rated user experience & responsible trading 3.7 / 5
A well-built app earns real credit, but landing just one of seven Responsible Trading tools holds this category to 3.7 out of 5.
Is OG legit and safe?
February 2026 marked Crypto.com‘s launch of OG as a standalone prediction-markets brand, though the actual exchange behind it is a separate Delaware entity: the North American Derivative Exchange, or NADEX, which holds dual CFTC status, cleared to run both as a contract market and as the clearing organization behind it. Ownership passed to Foris DAX Markets in March 2022, and that company’s Foris DAX FCM arm now serves as broker, operating under the name OG Broker. A matter the CFTC raised in 2017, over potential trading violations, was resolved before that year was out.
Separation between customer money and OG’s own operating funds is real, with trader balances parked at Fifth Third Bank and BMO Harris Bank. Neither SIPC nor FDIC protection comes up anywhere in OG’s own materials — ordinary for this industry, but not something to assume without checking.
Reach stops entirely at two state lines, Arizona and New York. Sports contracts face a tighter limit still, unavailable in Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio and Illinois even though the rest of OG functions normally there. Trading requires being at least 18.
OG vs. Kalshi
OG
Where Kalshi wins out is market depth and Responsible Trading tooling; OG’s counter is a faster settlement clock.

OG FAQ
Use LINEUPS when signing up to lock in the current deal: a $25 trade earns a $25 trading-credit match.
Yes — the exchange runs through NADEX, which carries a CFTC Designated Contract Market registration, and trader money stays walled off from OG’s own funds at Fifth Third Bank and BMO Harris Bank.
Yes, provided there’s someone on the other side of the trade willing to take it — OG allows exiting a position early rather than holding to resolution.
Our test withdrawal cleared in 18 hours from the original request. The far quicker clock belongs to settlement itself: a resolved position turned into withdrawable cash in just 60 seconds.
Yes, built out fully for both iOS and Android, with only the order book staying exclusive to desktop.
Arizona and New York are entirely off the table for OG. A smaller, sports-contracts-only exclusion also covers New Jersey, Ohio, Nevada, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland and Illinois.
