Can You Play Spaceman in the US?

Not for real money, and not for sweepstakes prizes either. Two things closed both doors.

Pragmatic Play withdrew its games from US sweepstakes casinos in September 2025. The decision came days after the Los Angeles City Attorney filed suit against Stake.us, naming Pragmatic among the suppliers, and it covered every US sweeps platform rather than California alone. Evolution and Hacksaw Gaming pulled titles from Stake.us in California around the same time. Spaceman went with everything else as the licences lapsed. That could change. Pragmatic has the licensing in place and crash games have been selling well for every US operator that has launched one, so the title arriving in a regulated lobby would not be surprising. A crash game, released by Pragmatic Play in March 2022. It is filed under slots at plenty of casinos, which is misleading: there are no reels, no paylines and no symbols. An astronaut lifts off, a multiplier starts at 1.00x and climbs, and at a point decided before the round opens he drops out of the sky. Cash out first and your stake is multiplied by the number on screen. Leave it too long and the stake is gone.

Rounds last seconds, with a betting window of around five seconds between them, and everyone in the round is flying the same astronaut. A live panel shows what other players staked and where they got out, which is most of the appeal: a solo bet that feels like a shared event.

1. Place your bet during the short window before the round opens. One bet per round, so there is no hedging two positions on the same flight.
2. Set your cashout targets if you want them. You can pre-set a full auto cashout multiplier, a 50% cashout multiplier, or both.
3. Watch the multiplier climb as the astronaut takes off.
4. Cash out. A $10 bet taken at 2.50x returns $25. The round carries on for everyone else after you leave.
5. Or crash. If the round ends first, the stake is gone. Rounds can end almost immediately, so an early bust is normal rather than bad luck.

The 50% Cashout

This is the feature worth knowing about, and the reason Spaceman is still talked about three years after release. At any point you can take half your bet out and leave the other half running. Most crash games force an all-or-nothing choice; this one lets you split it.

In practice it works like this: set the half cashout at 2x and leave the rest to run. At 2x you have banked half your stake's winnings and the remaining half keeps climbing.
