After severely underwhelming in their win against Western Michigan, the Michigan Wolverines have seen their odds drastically shift in two different directions, creating one of the bigger swings of the slate. With the Wolverines spread currently in a dead zone, it will be intriguing to see if their backers can keep steaming their number down, crashing Oklahoma to the key number of -3.

Oklahoma vs. Michigan (+7 > +4.5)
Before their controversial result against Western Michigan, oddsmakers had the Michigan Wolverines listed as a small favorite in their Week 2 matchup against Oklahoma. After needing a last second hail mary to beat the Broncos, bettors reacted to the performance, steaming the Sooners all the way up to the key number of -7.
Respected bettors have since corrected the market, bringing Michigan back down to +4.5. With the Sooners in range of another key number, you will need to be quick to bet them before they potentially bounce back up. On paper, Oklahoma’s defense should bottle up Bryce Underwood, fielding a group who ranks near the top of the board in Def Success Rate and in EPA. Their advantage in the trenches will consistently flush Underwood out of the pocket, using their pressure to lower the quality of his throws.
Alabama vs. Kentucky (+10.5 > +9.5)
If you have read our piece on the most overvalued teams heading into 2026, Alabama headlined our list of teams to fade after failing to address their glaring issues in the offseason. Even after their dominant win against East Carolina, bettors have tempered their expectations on the Crimson Tide, steaming Kentucky through the key number of 10.
While their win over the Pirates looked impressive on paper, Alabama’s struggles with creating explosive plays have seemingly carried over into this season, making them overly reliant on their ability to cut the distance to gain in half in order to keep their drives alive. With Kentucky ranking above league average in Def Explosiveness, the Crimson Tide will be held to early outs, keeping the score close in favor of the underdog.
Ohio State vs. Texas (-2.5 > -1)
A battle between two titans with the winner putting themselves in an incredible position to make the playoffs. While oddsmakers initially believed Texas had the edge in this titanic matchup, bettors think otherwise, steaming Ohio State down to +1.
With the Longhorns Trevor Goosby listed as questionable on the Longhorns injury report, their offensive line will be vulnerable, forcing Arch Manning to get the ball out of his hands quicker than anticipated. Ohio State’s ability to generate a push with just their front four will also allow them to anchor their linebackers in coverage, smothering Manning’s passing lanes at multiple levels of the field.
Iowa State vs. Iowa (-13.5 > -14.5)
After Matt Campbell took his staff and players with him to Penn State, Iowa State was left scrambling trying to fill their holes on both sides of the ball. Their lack of cohesion makes it difficult for bettors to trust them, especially when matched up against Iowa who backs their success on continuity.
With Iowa’s offense firing on all cylinders, bettors steamed the Hawkeyes through the key number of -14 fully expecting they will be able to build on their momentum. Defending against the run was an issue for the Cyclones in their Week 1 matchup against Southeast Missouri State, ranking near dead last in Def Rush Explosiveness. By churning out sizable gains with each carry, Iowa State will be forced to stack the box, creating more space for the Hawkeyes pass catchers to exploit.
Arkansas vs. Utah (-7.5 > -12.5)
Even after having to overhaul their coaching staff, Utah was able to quickly brush aside regression, routing Idaho to the tune of 66-14. Devon Dampier was efficient in his limited role, throwing for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns while completing 72.22% of his passes.
After Arkansas underwhelmed in their season opener against North Alabama, bettors pounced on Utah, steaming them up to as high as -12.5. With the Razorbacks falling down to 134th in Def Hard Stops, it’s tough to envision how their defense will be able to get the Utes off the field while lacking the talent on offense that is needed to match their output, leading to a lopsided affair.
