The Falcons have gotten the Kevin Stefanski era off to a nightmarish start thanks in part to their bleak quarterback situation, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel in the form of Michael Penix, who’ll make his season debut in Thursday Night Football‘s matchup against the Packers at Lambeau.
Meanwhile, Green Bay did manage to record its first win in Week 2 with an overtime victory against the Jets, but the Packers have been farm from consistent on either side of the ball over their first pair of contests.

Without further ado, let’s dive into three player props to consider for Falcons vs. Packers on Thursday. Don’t forget to check out our NFL betting trends page for game data and insights on the week ahead.
Falcons-Packers Best NFL Week 3 Player Props
- Drake London Over 5.5 Receptions
- Christian Watson Over 62.5 Receiving Yards
- Tucker Kraft Longest Reception Over 19.5 Yards
Drake London Over Receptions
There may be no Falcons skill-position players happier to see Michael Penix return to the field Thursday than London, whose season got off to a predictably lackluster start in the form of a 6-80-0 line on 10 targets over the first two games while Cooper Rush and Jack Stand had the reins of the offense. London did have a slight uptick in production in Week 2 against the Panthers in the form of four catches for 51 yards, and Penix’s season debut means head coach Kevin Stefanski can start to open his playbook.
Stefanski doesn’t figure to have much of a choice Thursday as the Packers will be looking to build on a hard-fought Week 2 win over the Jets and really get their offense unleashed in front of the home crowd after an inconsistent first two games. London has a career 91-1,286-9 line on 148 targets over 14 career games with Penix as his QB, which works out to an average of 6.5 receptions on 10.6 targets per contest. Green Bay has surrendered an average of 12.5 receptions and 18.5 targets to wide receivers over the first two games as well, and given London’s outsized role in the air attack, backing the idea of him recording at least six catches has legs.

Christian Watson Over Receiving Yards
Watson has been a bright spot through the Packers’ aforementioned inconsistent start to the new campaign. Not only has the oft-injured receiver managed to remain on the field, he’s posted a 10-188-3 line on 19 targets over that pair of contests, including a spectacular 147-yard showing to start the season against the Vikings. The veteran receiver’s speed always gives him a chance to pile up yardage in a hurry, and he has a good matchup in that regard Thursday.
The Falcons are surrendering a robust 14.2 yards per catch to wide receivers over the first two games, and Atlanta now will have to defend Watson without its top cornerback A.J. Terrell, who’s been placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. Jordan Love has also been aggressive in the early going while averaging 14.4 yards per completion, and Watson has averaged 72.6 receiving yards per game in the 25 career contests he’s played with Love as his QB.
Original Line: 62.5
Tucker Kraft Longest Reception Over 19.5 Yards
Building on some of the metrics just stated for Love and his penchant for downfield passing, we have this prop for Kraft. The athletic tight end has always been able to generate chunk plays, as he’s averaging 13.8 yards per reception and has taken just over 20% (24) of his 118 catches across his first 44 career regular-season games for 20+ yards.
Kraft was already up to 58 snaps in Week 2 against the Jets, meaning he’s made a remarkable recovery from last year’s season-ending knee injury. Kraft already has two 20+ catches among his five receptions this season, and the Falcons may be playing Thursday without starting linebacker Samson Ebukam (hamstring) on top of already missing Jalon Walker (IR-knee) and James Pearce (suspension).
