Touchdown Prop Predictions & Odds: NFL TD Bets for Lions vs. Bills
We’ve got an inter-conference showdown between the Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills on Week 2 Thursday Night Football. The Lions are coming off an overtime win against the Saints, where they squandered a three-score lead before pulling through in the end. Teams coming off an overtime game, then playing on a short week on Thursday Night Football, are 6-25 against the spread since 2000. Add in the fact that the Bills are playing their first game at the new stadium, and I feel like this game has sneaky blowout potential. That’s why I’m riding with two Bills, DJ Moore and Dalton Kincaid, for my touchdown props.

DJ Moore Touchdown Odds
DJ Moore looked terrific in his Bills debut, catching 5-of-8 targets for 100 yards and one touchdown. Josh Allen showed a clear willingness to target that veteran wideout downfield, giving him a ton of upside on a weekly basis. With Joe Brady now the head coach, he has more authority on the offense, and it’s clear he wants the Bills to air it out more. Buffalo ranked 2nd in Pass Rate Over Expected in Week 1.
Up next is an exploitable matchup against the Lions, who have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. We just saw them get torched by Chris Olave for 10 catches and 182 yards. There’s a legitimate chance that Moore has another spike week, giving him a good chance to find the end zone as well. Add in the fact that this is a projected shootout with a 53.5-point total, and you can see why this is an appealing wager.
Moore is a much better value than James Cook (-170) or Josh Allen (-130), as you can get the former Bears wideout at +155 odds at the time of this article. With that in mind, we’ll take him to score his 2nd TD of the year here.
Dalton Kincaid Touchdown Odds
Dalton Kincaid was hyped when he was a first-round pick a couple of years ago, but he hasn’t lived up to the hype, at least coming into this season. But just like Joe Brady is pushing for a more pass-heavy offense, he’s also integrating Kincaid more. We saw that in Week 1, when Kincaid 5-of-6 targets for 130 yards.
What’s most impressive about this performance was that it was against the Texans, who have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Now he gets a much softer matchup vs. the Lions, who allowed Tyler Shough to lead a comeback before finding a way to win in overtime. With Moore and Kincaid entrenched as the top two targets in a high-powered Bills offense, this looks like a good look for TNF Week 2.
As with Moore, Kincaid offers more appealing value compared to Cook and Allen. You can get the talented tight end at +180 odds, which is an appealing price considering how good he looked in Week 1.
