There were plenty of series-clinching victories on Wednesday’s MLB Playoffs slate, as the Guardians were the only team to escape that fate. Therefore, Cleveland and the White Sox have the night all to themselves Thursday, but the Guardians must prevail again to avoid getting the boot.

Best MLB Division Series Player Props
- Jose Ramirez Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
- Parker Messick Over 1.5 Walks Allowed
Jose Ramirez (Guardians at White Sox) Over Hits + Runs + RBI
Ramirez snapped out of a brief funk in Wednesday’s big Game 3 win, going 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, two RBI, a walk and two runs. The veteran switch-hitter had gone just 1-for-6 with a pair of free passes in the first two games of the series, and he could be primed to deliver again in the clutch during Cleveland’s second straight elimination scenario.
The matchup he’ll draw for his first plate appearance doesn’t hurt Ramirez’s chances either, as southpaw Hagen Smith is slated to open the game for Chicago before likely handing the ball to Erick Fedde. Ramirez has reached safely in three of his five career plate appearances against Smith via a double and two walks, and he was also at his best by far when hitting from the right side.
Ramirez boasted a .282 average and .355 wOBA against lefties on the road during the regular season, and although Fedde could pose a much tougher challenge for him once he’s in the game, this is a bet on Ramirez’s overall talent and his career average of 1.6 hits + runs + RBI in the postseason.

Parker Messick (Guardians at White Sox) Over Walks Allowed
Messick is an ascending left-hander who already had somewhat of a breakout season in 2026, posting a 12-9 record, 2.56 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 9.3 K/9 and 0.8 HR/9 over 32 starts. The young southpaw had reasonably good control – he posted a 2.4 BB/9 – but he did issue multiple free passes in exactly half of his 32 starts, including once against the White Sox. Messick was actually more effective on the road this season, but he still had a 2.3 BB/9 in that split.
Messick also issued two walks in just 4.1 innings against the White Sox back in Game 1 of the series at Progressive Field. The multiple free passes in that matchup isn’t surprising, considering the White Sox had an AL-high 12.1% walk rate against left-handed pitching at home over the last month of the regular season and have also drawn 11 more base on balls in the first three games of the series.
