Top TD Picks: CeeDee Lamb & Jalon Daniels
We’re all set for a matchup of NFC teams on Week 5 Thursday Night Football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. The Bucs are still searching for their first win of the year, put in a tough spot with Baker Mayfield’s thumb injury, as they’re now starting an undrafted rookie at quarterback. Meanwhile, the Cowboys offense is firing on all cylinders, fresh off a big comeback win over the Texans.

This is a game that the Cowboys need to win at home if they want to establish themselves as the top team in the NFC East. It’s a projected high-scoring game, as highlighted by the 47.5-point total, making it a great spot for Week 5 TNF touchdown props. CeeDee Lamb Touchdown Odds
After a pair of down seasons, with an injury-plagued 2025 and forced to play without Dak Prescott for a chunk of 2024, CeeDee Lamb is back as one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL. He’s coming off a monster game against the Texans, where he hauled in 17-of-21 targets for 189 yards and a touchdown.
Lamb has now scored a touchdown in three of four games this season, including two against the Commanders in Week 2. Up next is a game where the Cowboys have a 29-point team total, so they’re projected to score at least four touchdowns. It’s the ideal game environment for Lamb to find the end zone once again.
What’s great about this touchdown prop is that the cost is not prohibitive. While teammate Javonte Williams is priced at -230, you can get Lamb at around -110. That’s much more appealing than fellow wideout George Pickens (+120), who isn’t even that much cheaper despite being a lot less productive. Given the production and cost, we’ll ride with Lamb in this spot.
Jalon Daniels Touchdown Odds
Jalon Daniels is an appealing longshot anytime touchdown bet for Week 5, as you can get him at +280 odds. This is a rushing quarterback who showed that he can make an impact with his legs, racking up 55 yards on eight carries in the Bucs’ 17-14 loss to the Packers last week. With Tampa 8.5-point underdogs here, that likely means more dropbacks and more opportunities for Daniels to run.
Since a rushing (or receiving) TD is what we would need to hit this prop, the potential uptick in rushing volume is ideal here. It’s also worth noting that the Cowboys have allowed the most rushing yards to quarterbacks this season. Jaxson Dart (54 yards), Jayden Daniels (69 yards), and Lamar Jackson (50 yards) have each been productive against them.
With that in mind, we’ll take a shot on Daniels to run for a touchdown in this one. It’s the perfect combination of a high-scoring game environment and an exploitable matchup. Daniels’ best path to productivity is with his legs, so expect the Bucs to make use of that here.
