PGA Tour Golf Odds, Picks, Predictions: Final Bank of Utah Championship Betting Card

The 2026 PGA Tour golf season continues, with The Cliffs at Walnut Cove next on tap to host the Bank of Utah Championship in Ivins, Utah, beginning Thursday. Jackson Koivun, Michael Brennan, and Ben James headline among Bank of Utah bets this week, as John Haslbauer provides his favorite picks among all the golf odds for this tourney. Below, you’ll find the best odds across betting sites for each player.

PGA Tour action is back after a quick match play detour, as the Fall Series continues on this Thursday. Black Desert Resort is next to host the Bank of Utah Championship, as this field of 135 will head to Utah for the third installment of this event’s history. Through the first two years, this event has proven to reward bold, confident drivers who are in complete control off the tee and can catch a hot putter for four rounds. As is often the case for these Fall Series events, birdie-making will be crucial, as this event is sure to require 20-under-par or better to win.

How I Built My Bank of Utah Championship Betting

Young talent wins at the Bank of Utah Championship. That’s what the first two years of this event have proven, anyway, with Matt McCarty and Michael Brennan each picking up their first career PGA Tour wins as rookies here. The formula has been a combination of elite total driving – playing from the fairway in avoidance of the many natural hazards lining them – and spike putting. I’ve built my betting card around young, talented players in great ball-striking form who have proven experience on comp courses in the desert.

From a unit allocation standpoint, it’s back to business as usual for my weekly stake at the 2026 Bank of Utah Championship.

• Outrights – 3.5U in to pay 25U each
• FRL – 0.5U in to pay out 10U+ each

• Props – 1.0U in to pay out 3U+ each

Bank of Utah Championship Bets: Outrights (3.5 Units)

Jackson Koivun

My Bet: +1400 

It’s been an absolute joy tracking Jackson Koivun’s steady progress from his collegiate dominance, to his immediate success winning the 3M Open, and most recently, his unflappable demeanor at the Presidents Cup, where he was the only American to go undefeated.

At this early stage of his career, its his demeanor and mentality that are more encouraging than his skillsets. He’s a killer, and he’ll come to the Fall Series event with sky high confidence, and expectations for another win. In the early stages of Koivun’s career, he profiles as an accurate driver, very good iron player, and elite putter. That is a combination that will play very well at Black Desert Resort, so I’m comfortable building a tighter card with exposure to the 21-year-old favorite.

Ben James

My Bet: +2000 

James is far from an unproven talent and has quickly cemented himself as a top-5 favorite in this field. But with only nine career PGA Tour starts under his belt and a stellar collegiate career now behind him at the University of Virginia, he fits the mold of the young, burgeoning stars who have thrived on this stage before him.

James has had many close calls already in his first nine professional starts, finishing 2nd and 3rd in his last two starts, and picking up two additional top-15s over his last six. James is already an elite ball-striker, ranking top-10 in SG: APP, SG: OTT, and SG: Ball Striking over his last 16 rounds. He also happens to rank No. 1 overall in this field in SG: TOT over the last 36 rounds.

When I go to the bank, I’m looking to take out Benjamins. And when I go to the board at the Bank of Utah Championship, you can bet I’m betting Ben ‘BenJamin’ James. He should draw inspiration from Jackson Koivun’s performance at the Presidents Cup, and is on a trajectory to join him and represent the USA in future Presidents Cups himself, if he can keep up the pace he’s on now. 

Kevin Yu

My Bet: +3600 

We’ll be calling this the Bank of Yu-Tah Championship if it’s Kevin who cashes in on the $1.08M top prize. Yu checks all the boxes I’m looking for from both a statistical profile and narrative standpoint. He ranks No. 2 overall in my model this week, a tremendous value for this price, as a credit to his top-10 ranks in SG: T2G, SG: OTT, SG: Ball Striking, and Comp Course History. Yu also ranks No. 1 overall in the field in Birdie or Better Percentage, and he continues to play his best golf in the easiest scoring conditions. It’s no coincidence then that Yu’s first career PGA Tour win came in the Fall at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship. 

It’s Yu’s familiarity with desert golf that draws me to him most of all this week. Yu is an Arizona State University graduate who plays out of Scottsdale, racking up plenty of experience navigating natural hazards at elevation. That has translated to success on desert courses too, as Yu finished T15 at this event last year, and T16 at Tom Weiskopf’s TPC Scottsdale in his most recent appearance there as well. With five consecutive top-30 finishes leading in, including a 4th place finish at the Wyndham Championship, Yu is trending at the right time as he heads to this ideal course fit.

Gordon Sargent 

My Bet: +15000 

The talent pool in this Fall Series event is not the most enticing when it comes to deep longshot hopefuls, but in an event that has crowned a couple of out-of-nowhere winners already, I’m going to take a shot on the raw talent that Gordon Sargent possesses. Volatile players who play boldly off the tee have been rewarded here when the driver is on, and that happens to be the strength of Sargent’s game. He ranks top-15 in SG: OTT, Driving Distance, Par-5 Scoring, and Birdie or Better Percentage over the last 36 rounds.

Like former winners Matt McCarty and Michael Brennan, Sargent was a standout athlete in college, though he has taken more time to acclimate to PGA Tour competition. His performance at the Biltmore Championship Asheville was a very encouraging step in the right direction, though, where he finished T33. Sargent played well in enough from tee-to-green to win that tournament, ranking 1st in SG: OTT, 2nd in SG: T2G, and 3rd in SG: Ball Striking. If he can maintain that tee-to-green form and get some more putts to drop, he’s a very appealing value at this price with top-20 upside.

Bank of Utah Championship Bets: First Round Leader (0.5 Units)

Jackson Suber

My Bet: +3500

Volatility is a sought after commodity in the FRL market, and few players in this field demonstrate highs and lows quite as severe as Jackson Suber. When he’s on, he is explosive, particular in the early rounds. That includes his latest start, where he was top-5 through the opening round and finished top-10 for the week. Suber is a talented driver and can pop on the greens as well when his game is clicking. 

Ben Kohles

My Bet: +5200 

Kohles was nearly a winner at the John Deere Classic earlier this summer before a slow and steady unraveling on Sunday. It was deja vu all over again at the Biltmore Championship Asheville, but one this is stil clear: he’s one of the most dangerous players in this field in the early rounds. His inability to close on Sundays gives me pause to back him in the outright market, but there’s no denying his form right now, as he enters as a top-5 player in this field over the last 36 rounds.. 

Pierceson Coody

My Bet: +6000

On paper, this is the ideal golf course for a player like Pierceson Coody, who has been volatile, but elite off the tee and putting when his game is on. It’s rare to see a course deprioritize SG: APP in favor of SG: OTT, but that’s what we’ve seen from Black Desert Resort over its first two years. If that remains true, Coody is an appealing target to continue to form he diplayed with his T3 finish here last year. 

Haotong Li

My Bet: +8000

Li enters this week with great momentum, finishing T18, T14, and T10 over his last three starts across the DP World Tour and PGA Tour. His T10 came in his most recent start at the Biltmore Championship Asheville, which similarly rewarded total driving, birdie-making, and navigating elevation change. 

Though making his Bank of Utah Championship debut this week, Li has proven his game translates well in the desert, finishing T8 at The American Express earlier this season. Always known as an aggressive ball-striker, that bold approach is what’s required to get off to a hot start at Black Desert Resort.

Denny McCarthy

My Bet: +12500 

An explosive putter is required to go low at Black Desert Resort, and McCarthy may have an extra chip on his shoulder after relinquishing the title of best putter in the world to Jacob Bridgeman this season. McCarthy’s form remains about average across the board, but he can get away with that on a course like this where putting is the true separator. 

Bank of Utah Championship Bets: Props (2.0 Units)

Full Tournament Matchup: Chris Kirk > Eric Cole

My Bet: -110

The floor could not be higher for Chris Kirk, who continues to put him self in contention despite getting absolutely nothing out of his putter. He’s now finished top-10 in two of his last three starts, despite ranking outside the top 100 in this field in SG: Putting. Cole, by contrast, has looked like the inverse of Kirk, spraying the ball off the tee and overcoming it with extreme putting weeks.

Black Desert Resort will produce plenty of birdie opportunities throughout the week, but it will also introduce its fair share of bogeys or worse for players, like Cole, who are not in complete control of their driver. I’m going the safe route here and backing the proven veteran who has been a model of consistency from tee to green throughout 2026. 

Top-20 Finish: Ben James

My Bet: +100

Jackson Koivun may be the betting favorite this week, but no player has looked in more complete control of their game than Ben James in recent weeks. He’ll come to the Bank of Utah Championship with finishes of 2nd and 3rd over his last two starts. 

Though he’s made just nine career starts, James fits the profile of the first two winners of this event, parlaying his incredible collegiate career into immediate success on the PGA Tour. This course is a great fit for James’ game, as he looks to keep the hot hand in the desert.
