The Champions League is back in action after a week off from European play. Tuesday sees 18 of the 36 teams in action, including some of the competition’s favorites looking to climb the table. PSG, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are three of the four clubs with the shortest odds of winning the UCL, and each is favored in its match on Tuesday afternoon. Matchday 4 kicks off with two games at 12:45 p.m. ET and the other seven at 3 p.m. ET.

Here is a look at the players and teams to target across Tuesday’s nine-game slate.
Villarreal vs. PSG: Désiré Doué 2+ Shots on Target (+155)
PSG’s Désiré Doué has already reached superstardom at just 21 years old and will now serve as the focal point of the attack for the back-to-back Champions League winners. The French international is one of only three players from Luis Enrique’s typical front three available on Tuesday, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé both out injured. Doué has been one of the brightest players of the Champions League season so far and should be well-equipped to shoulder more of the attacking load alongside some newer faces.
The French star arrives at Matchweek 4 with four goal contributions in two games. Enrique rested his star winger in the UCL opener, meaning all four contributions have come against elite opposition in Barcelona and Manchester City. Doué is no stranger to big moments, having already won some of the biggest club trophies in the game while playing a major role for his team. His 2.5 shots per game in the UCL this season rank third on the squad, but he should see even more opportunities with team leader Dembélé and his 4.0 shots per game out of the lineup. Doué has registered three shots on target in his two Champions League appearances and should have more freedom to let loose given the injuries in the squad.
Atlético Madrid vs. Bayern Munich: Michael Olise 1+ Assists (+215)
Fans of the Bundesliga champions will hope for a stronger and more composed performance from French superstar Michael Olise when Bayern Munich takes on Atlético Madrid on Tuesday. Olise received the first red card of his career in a 3-3 draw with Viking in Matchweek 3 and will look to continue what has otherwise been a strong start to the European campaign. The 24-year-old had been in excellent domestic form before a rough outing against Dortmund over the weekend but should have no trouble bouncing back against the Spanish side.
Since the red card, Olise has registered four goals and three assists in the four games that followed. Last year’s Champions League leader in assists (6) already has one in his two appearances in the competition this season. He has created two big chances and leads the Champions League with a whopping 5.5 key passes per game. Playing on the wing with Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane as the target man has made Olise one of the top playmakers in the world over the past few seasons. The Frenchman has reached 20 or more assists in each of the last two seasons and already has six in 13 games across all competitions this campaign.
Barcelona vs. Aston Villa: Lamine Yamal 2+ Goals + Assists (+175)
Barcelona have gotten off to a historic start in both the Champions League and domestically, scoring 57 goals in 14 games. A big reason for that success has been teenage superstar Lamine Yamal. The 19-year-old now has 27 goal contributions in 19 games for club and country this season. He scored two goals and added an assist in Barcelona’s 6-1 win over the weekend and will look to build on his 6 goal contributions in the first three Champions League games.
Yamal has registered two or more goals plus assists in two of three UCL matches so far, failing to do so only against PSG in Matchweek 3. Of his 14 games for Barcelona this season, he has scored or assisted twice or more in nine. He faces an Aston Villa side that has been impressive but arrives as a massive underdog against the Spanish champions. The English club has failed to keep a clean sheet in four straight games and will struggle in a hostile environment against a team scoring 4.07 goals per contest. Look for Yamal to continue his historic season against the first Premier League side Barcelona has faced this campaign.

Anthony Gordon (Barcelona, $19)
Anthony Gordon has been one of the best summer signings after moving from the Premier League to La Liga before the World Cup. The English international has enjoyed life with the Spanish champions, already registering 7 goal contributions in 13 appearances for Barcelona. He now faces a familiar opponent in Aston Villa, a club he faced numerous times during his nine-year tenure in the Premier League. In 11 career appearances against the English side, Gordon has managed just 2 goal contributions despite his aggressive playstyle, taking 18 total shots in those matches. He should have even more space to operate with the defense rightfully shading toward Yamal and Raphinha on the opposite flank. Look for the English star to heavily influence the game with his defensive work rate and pace down the left side.
Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan, $18)
Marcus Thuram and Italian giants Inter Milan have had a difficult opening to their Champions League campaign. The Serie A champions picked up their first win on Matchday 3 after dropping each of their first two games. Cristian Chivu’s side will be without top scorer Lautaro Martínez, meaning Thuram will be the main man up front leading the charge against Feyenoord. The French striker has had a decent start to the season, scoring five goals and adding two assists in 12 appearances for his club. After four straight seasons with 15 or more goals across all competitions, Thuram looks due to open his Champions League account at any moment.
João Neves (PSG, $17)
Portuguese superstar midfielder João Neves never quite gets the attention he deserves for the role he plays in arguably the strongest midfield in the world. The 22-year-old has been crucial to Luis Enrique’s success at PSG and hardly ever puts a foot wrong despite his youth. He picked up his first goal contribution of the season in PSG’s Matchweek 3 win over Barcelona, and with the injuries his team has sustained, we could see the defensive-minded midfielder get forward a bit more. Neves leads his squad with 3.5 tackles per game, to go along with 11 defensive contributions and 10 recoveries. His work rate allows PSG to win back the ball and keep possession for long stretches. He may not register a goal or assist, but Neves should showcase his worth through the countless stats he compiles over the course of a match.
Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United, $9)
Manchester United have been the laughing stock of the football world, but the return of a certain young midfielder could help turn things around. English prospect Kobbie Mainoo returned from injury as a substitute over the weekend and should be in line to regain his starting role in a must-win game for a club in peril. The 21-year-old was crucial to United’s success last season and, like Neves, his influence on the game cannot be judged by goal contributions alone. Playing alongside an offensive-minded midfielder like Bruno Fernandes, Mainoo does a lot of the dirty work, commanding the midfield at an impressive rate for a player his age. He was one of the few bright spots for United before his injury and can certainly regain that form, with the squad desperately needing improvement in the center of the pitch.
Achraf Hakimi (PSG, $15)
PSG’s superstar RB Achraf Hakimi had to be included in Tuesday’s lineup after the masterpiece he put together on Friday afternoon. The Moroccan defender scored or assisted on all five of PSG’s goals in their 5-1 Ligue 1 win, registering the first hat trick of his career along with two assists in a game in which his team started down 1-0. The 27-year-old is highly regarded as the best right back in the world for his defensive qualities, but his ability to get up the pitch and score or assist for others makes him one of a kind. He registered his first assists of the UCL season in PSG’s 4-2 win over Barcelona in Matchweek 3, and it would not be a surprise to see last year’s assists leader in the competition find at least one more after the game he just had.
Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich, $12)
Bayern Munich’s star defender Dayot Upamecano will play a big role against a tough Atlético Madrid side that feels it can upset the Bundesliga champions on Tuesday. The French defender faces an Atleti team that has scored four goals across its first three Champions League games but is historically dominant at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano in this competition. Upamecano has been close to perfect in his two Champions League starts this season, and the 6’1″ center back has also played a big role on set pieces for his club. He scored in Bayern’s weekend draw with Dortmund and has now scored in back-to-back Bundesliga starts heading into Tuesday’s showdown in the Spanish capital.
Jan Oblak (Atlético Madrid, $9)
We round out our Tuesday lineup with one of the premier goalkeepers in the competition, Atlético Madrid’s Jan Oblak. The Slovenian keeper ranks sixth in goals prevented (1.13) through the first three games of the competition and is making 3.7 saves per game heading into Tuesday. He now faces one of the world’s most dangerous attacking sides, with Bayern arriving off 10 goals in their first three UCL games. They average the fifth-most shots on target per game (8.3), meaning Oblak should be able to rack up plenty of points with saves in this one. Keeping a clean sheet against Bayern is nearly impossible, but Oblak is playing at a high enough level to slow down even one of the best attacking sides in the world right now.
