0-0, T-1st AFC North
The Dawg Pound will be hoping for the breakthrough they expected last season with Kevin Stefanski now at the helm. The AFC North faces among the easier slates in the NFL, and the Browns should especially benefit as their opponents rank with the 3rd-worst combined records from last season. In terms of expected win totals among opponents, the Browns have the 5th-easiest schedule. A road game against the Ravens to start the season is no easy task, but after that Cleveland faces 7 teams with losing records last season heading into their Week 9 bye. The team also benefits from their more difficult matchups coming at home - the Colts, Texans, and Eagles. The Browns don’t have more than two road games back-to-back at any point this season and also face two of the weaker divisions in the NFL - the AFC and NFC East. The Browns have spoken to their desire to establish more of a physical, run-first presence on offense with Nick Chubb and this schedule should make that possible. Cleveland fans will be upset with their team only popping up on primetime once, but they can’t be too unhappy with this slate of games - the Browns could rack up 9 or 10 wins with this schedule.
