Fans in Missouri can pick the Underdog when sports betting becomes legal in the state on Dec. 1. Underdog Sports is one of the approved sports betting providers set to open when launch becomes official.
Underdog Sportsbook is a hybrid daily fantasy sports and sports betting site that includes daily games plus a full sportsbook with open wagers on the Kansas City Chiefs, Missouri Tigers, and more.
We’re not sure of the official welcome bonus offer for Missouri customers just yet, but news will be coming soon as launch day draws near. Underdog has carved out a niche in the sports betting market with its unique approach and layout. It’s a major player in the daily fantasy sports industry with unique head-to-head challenges and daily drafts.
Underdog also has your basic game markets including point spreads, moneyline bets, and future bets across the NFL, college football, the NBA, and the NHL. Missouri will be the second state Underdog Sportsbook has a full sportsbook; North Carolina is the other.
The world of online sports betting is changing in Missouri, and betting for—and with—Underdog has never been easier.
Underdog MO Promo Code: Offer Coming Soon
Underdog is days from going live in Missouri, and players will be able to take advantage of the welcome offer after logging in and entering a promo code to activate the bonus.
In other states, Underdog has offered new players a $100 bonus after a $5 initial bet and a deposit match worth up to $1,000. These welcome offers are a great way to start your sports betting adventure with a little extra in your pocket. The rest is up to you. Sports betting opens in Missouri on Dec. 1, 2025.
Current Status of Sports Betting in Missouri
Underdog Sports is ready to jump into the crowd of online sports betting providers in the Show Me State, along with Bet365, BetMGM, Caesars, Circa Sports, DraftKings, Fanatics, FanDuel, and theScore Bet. Voters approved Amendment 2 in the state by a narrow margin in November of 2024, approving sports betting, and the Missouri Gaming Board was given oversight of the industry.
The MGC gave temporary licensing approvals for eight mobile sportsbooks (they have room for four more), six retail sportsbook locations, and over a dozen suppliers (the folks that create the technology).
What does this mean for Missouri? It means a competitive market for your dollar. Players should study up on the welcome offers and find an operator that interests them.
Sports betting will be limited to players above the age of 21. Players must also be within Missouri state borders to use Underdog Sports. You will either need to download geolocation software on your device or use a phone connected to a Wi-Fi signal or cell tower that will confirm your location. Players can start making deposits into accounts on Nov. 17.

Underdog MO App Review
Players in Missouri on the Underdog Sports app will find a clean black-and-gold design with five tabs at the bottom: Originals, Picks, Get $10, Track, and Account.
The Originals tab sends you to the unique drafts and picks offered that day by Underdog Sports. Picks is where you’ll find all that day’s games and markets, with a search bar on top to look for the exact player or team you want to wager on.
Tap the Get $10 button and you’re sent to the Underdog Sports Refer-A-Friend promotion. Just send a friend in Missouri a referral code to use to sign up with Underdog Sports and get a $10 bonus when they register. Track is where you can track all your draft picks and bets for that day. Account is where you check your balance and can make deposits and withdrawals.
The language on the Underdog Sports app is different from what Missouri players will see at DraftKings or Caesars, for example. Over/under bets are called “higher” or “lower,” fantasy picks are called “entries.” A wagering requirement is called a “turnover period,” where you convert bonus funds into real cash.
Different Types of Bets to Make
Underdog Missouri presents a unique slate of possible bets for players in Missouri. It’s a mix of fantasy sports, player props, and game outcomes. Let’s break down the different types of bets that will be available at Underdog Sportsbook Missouri.
Moneylines
A moneyline bet is the most common and easiest bet to make. Just pick the team you believe will win the game and accept the odds listed at Underdog. Be aware that if you make a moneyline bet on a team that is a significant favorite, your profit will be limited. On the flipside, if you make a moneyline wager on a team not favored to win—you know, an underdog—you’ll get a bigger payout if they win.
Spreads
A point spread is set by the oddsmakers to encourage betting on both teams. It works like this: Let’s say the Chiefs are playing the Buffalo Bills and Underdog lists the Chiefs as three-and-a-half-point favorites. This means the Chiefs will be listed with a minus 3.5 next to their name, while the Bills will be three-point underdogs and have a plus 3.5 next to their name. So it will be Chiefs -3.5 vs. Bills +3.5.
The odds on spread bets are usually -110 on both sides, so you’ll roughly double your money if the Chiefs win (you are betting on the Chiefs, right?). But be aware that if the Chiefs win by three points, like 20–17, even though the team you supported won, they didn’t win by enough points. They didn’t “cover the spread,” so your bet doesn’t pay. If a spread is six points and the favored team wins by exactly six points, that bet is considered a “push,” and your stake is returned to you in full.
Totals
Totals are one of the biggest types of markets at Underdog Missouri. A total bet refers to a point total set by a sportsbook referring to the combined points scored by both teams in a game. Players can bet higher or lower than the total (Underdog calls it “higher” and “lower”; most sportsbooks call it “over” and “under”).
For example, let’s say the Blues are playing the Winnipeg Jets and the total is listed at 6.5 goals. Underdog players can bet higher than the total of 6.5 goals, or lower. Again, the odds should be roughly equal. If the Blues win 3–2, then you win your bet if you picked lower.
Parlays
Parlays are a series of bets combined into one bet at Underdog. For one stake, you can combine multiple bets into one—like betting on the Blues to win Saturday afternoon, the Missouri Tigers to cover a point spread in basketball, and the Chiefs on the moneyline on Sunday in the NFL. Each one of those bets has specific odds. In a parlay, all those odds are combined, leading to a bigger possible payout.
SGP
SGP stands for Same Game Parlay, and it’s a series of individual bets tied together on one single event. It works like a parlay in that you only need to risk your money once, but all of your bets are tied together on one game—like Mahomes to have over 250 passing yards, the Chiefs defense to score a touchdown, and Rashee Rice to have five or more catches. Again, all of those bets individually have odds. Put them all together in an SGP and the potential payoff is large.
Player Props
Player props are where Underdog Missouri stands out in the new market. A player prop bet means a bet on something connected to an individual’s performance in the game, whether it’s a certain number of three-point shot attempts, rushing yards, or shots in a hockey game. Underdog will set a market on a player and you can pick whether you think they’ll go over or under that bet.
There will be limitations on player props in Missouri. By law, college players and games involving Missouri schools will not have player prop bets available. This is being done as an extra layer of security to protect the integrity of the game.
Futures
Convinced the Blues are winning the Stanley Cup? Or maybe the Cardinals are World Series bound? At Underdog, you can make what’s called a “futures” bet on a big award (like the NFL MVP or Cy Young) or league champion at any time during the season. You’ll be rewarded handsomely if you make your picks early, as odds will decrease as the season advances toward the conclusion.
