Stake.us has also left several states as laws changed, adding states to its Excluded Territories in ten Terms updates since February 2025. What States Is Stake.us Legal In?
Stake.us is not available in 22 states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia. These are the Excluded Territories in the Terms (version 18.0, July 10, 2026), and residents cannot play either Standard (Gold Coins) or Promotional (Stake Cash) games there. The Terms also limit the platform to the continental United States and Hawaii, which leaves out Alaska even though it is not named in the state list.
Two more changes are close. Oklahoma’s SB 1589, which outlaws dual-currency sweepstakes casinos from November 1, 2026, is next, and a Stake.us notice shared by an Oklahoma player says the site will no longer be available there starting October 30, 2026, while players can still log in and redeem their balance. Stake.us has not said how long that redemption access will last. Illinois was removed earlier in 2026, with play ending on May 19 according to industry reports. Florida players can still join, but redemptions of Stake Cash won there are capped at $5,000 per day. Using a VPN to play from an excluded state breaks the Terms and can cost you your account and prizes.
