BMW Championship bets are next on tap at the best golf betting sites, as Bellerive Country Club gets ready to host in St. Louis, MIssouri. First-round play begins Thursday. Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Xander Schauffele headline BMW Championship bets this week, as John Haslbauer provides his favorite picks among all the golf odds for this tourney. Below, you’ll find the best odds across betting apps for each player.

The 2026 season has reached its penultimate event, with the FedEx Cup Playoffs reaching its second leg in a reduced field of the 50-best PGA Tour players remaining. Bellerive Country Club, a rare site on the PGA Tour, will host for the first time since the 2018 PGA Championship, as we get set for the 2026 BMW Championship this Thursday.

Soft, hot, and humid conditions told the story the last time we saw the best players in the world converge at Bellerive in August of 2018. Eight years later, St. Louis calls for a similar forecast. The softer the course conditions, the easier the scoring will be this week. And if Bellerive players anything like it did in 2018, we should expect long hitters who in the best approach form to thrive here.

Below, we’ll go through my BMW Championship bets. Click the odds anywhere in this article to place BMW Championship wagers. For a full breakdown of the tournament and course, visit my BMW Championship preview.

How I Built My BMW Championship Betting Card

From a bettor’s perspective, we’ve been fortunate to not have to wager against the version of Scottie Scheffler we saw last week, where he blitzed the FedEx St. Jude Championship field for a sweat-free, 8-stroke victory. It seems he could have comfortably won the first playoff event of 2026 with his B-game, so I have no interest in betting against Scheffler now in his BMW Championship title defense one week later.

Resigned to the “Without Scheffler” market then, I’ve opted for a very condensed card, short-listing in-form players with plus-driving distance and elite approach upside.

From a unit allocation standpoint, it’s back to business as usual for my weekly stake at the 2026 BMW Championship.

  • Outrights — 3.5U in to pay 25U each
  • FRL — 0.5U in to pay out 10U+ each
  • Full tournament matchups — 1U in to pay out 2U
  • Props — 1.5U in to pay out 3U+ each

BMW Championship Bets: Outrights without Scheffler (3.5 Units)

Cameron Young

My Bet: +1600

Cameron Young has solidified himself as the best tee-to-green player in 2026 outside of Scottie Scheffler. It has just been the putter over the last two months that has caused his tremendous 2026 season to stall. Even whilst getting nothing out of his putter, Young has still looked like his world-class self, posting finishes of T2 at The Open and T8 at the Rocket Classic with his last four starts.

A return to Bentgrass may be the restart Young needs to unlock his putter, and if he does return to the elite displays of putting he showed during his wins at The Players Championship and Cadillac Championship, he can beat anyone in this field. Young led the field in Driving Distance at the FedEx St Jude Championship last week, and that distance advantage with reward him far more handsomely on Bellerive’s setup. It’s a short price, but for a player top-2 in the 2026 PGA Tour Player of the Year running, I believe it’s justified.

Viktor Hovland

My Bet: +2150

The BMW Championship may rotate across different courses each year across the country, but it tends to be played on courses that loosely follow the same rubric: Bentgrass-based, long, parkland, and major-caliber. That is how I would describe Olympia Fields, site of the 2023 BMW Championship, where Hovland emerged victorious, and it’s not far off from describing last year’s host, Caves Valley Golf Club, where he finished T7.

Hovland has been excellent on this style of long, parkland moderately challenging course, ranking 3rd in Comp Course History behind only Scheffler and McIlroy. Muirfield Village is the top comp course that comes to mind for Bellervie Country Club, and Hovland has had no issues there, winning the Memorial Tournament in 2023. More recently, he has finished top-15 in four of his last six starts leading into the 2026 BMW Championship.

Ranking 12th in the field in SG: APP and 2nd in Prox: 125-200, Hovland is capable of winning his second career BMW Championship this week on the basis of his approach form alone.

Wyndham Clark

My Bet: +3100

Consensus odds have 14 players priced shorter than Wyndham Clark, which makes him my favorite value on the odds board this week. Clark has had a top-3 season on the PGA Tour by my assessment, picking up wins at the U.S. Open and CJ Cup Byron Nelson. He has a total of five top-5 finishes on the year, each coming within his last nine starts, with just two missed cuts over that span.

Clark started the playoffs on a high note, finishing T5 at last week’s FedEx St Jude Championship. Having the hot hand is half the battle when it comes to the FedEx Cup Playoffs, as it is far too late in the season for most players to find their form if they haven’t by now. The two-time U.S. Open champion fits the bill for Bellerive Country Club, as his strengths lie in his distance off the tee and long-iron approach proficiency. He is one of just four players in the field this week to rank above-average in Comp Course History, Total Driving, SG: T2G, and SG: APP.

BMW Championship Bets: First-Round Leader (0.5 Units)

Kurt Kitayama

My Bet: +3700

If total driving, approach play, and trending recent form are the keys to success at Bellerive Country Club, we may be looking at the perfect course for Kurt Kitayama’s game. Kitayama has been a ball-striking force all 2026 season, and ranks top-15 in terms of SG: OTT, Driving Distance, SG: APP, and SG: Ball Striking over the last 36 rounds. He is best suited to attack longer, driver-heavy courses, as he displayed with his most recent PGA Tour win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2023.

Adam Scott

My Bet: +4400

There is plenty to like about the veteran Aussie this week. He is the highest finisher from the 2018 PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in this week’s field, finishing solo 3rd behind Brooks Koepka and Tiger Woods the last time he teed it up here. He’s a picture-perfect fit for Bellerive, profiling as a long driver with spike approach and putting upside. I have concerns about his ability to close on Sunday, having still not won a PGA Tour event since 2019, but that is nothing to worry about in the FRL market.

Aaron Rai

My Bet: +7700

The PGA Championship winner is far from trending at the moment, but he’s proven capable of surprising us on these long, daunting par-70 setups. Bellerive has proven to be a venue that rewards the best approach players above all else, and although the forming is fleeting right now for Rai, his approach game is not far off at the moment.

BMW Championship Bets: Props (2.5 Units)

Full Tournament Matchup: Viktor Hovland > Si Woo Kim

My Bet: +105

I am high on Viktor Hovland, and am sticking with him as my official pick to win the BMW Championship. As such, I prefer him heads up to anyone not named Scottie Scheffler this week, and that includes Si Woo Kim. There is no denying Kim’s form right now, and he is capable of leaning on his approach play to separate here, but he’ll be starting at a disadvantage on a layout like Bellerive’s, which rewards pure distance.

Hovland can match Si Woo’s approach skill on a course like this, and has an extra gear he can tap into in terms of both driving distance and putting upside. A proven winner this season at the Travelers Championship and at this event in 2023, I love the value on these better-than-even odds for Hovland.

Top-20 Finish: Wyndham Clark

My Bet: -116

It is very difficult to find discernable value in the placement markets with a field of just 50 players remaining. Clark still stands out to me though as the most under-valued player in this field, and that applies just as much to his top-20 placement price as it does to his outright odds. Brooks Koepka proved that a traditional U.S. Open-style approach of aggression off-the-tee can work at Bellerive, so I have confidence the two-time U.S. Open champion can conjure up a similar game plan this week.

One And Done

My Pick: Kurt Kitayama

There is no strategy left to deploy as we reach the final event of the One And Done season. I have exhausted every top option in this field, and to no avail in this disappointing OAD season, so needing a miracle, I’m siding with a player who is sure to command low ownership.

I couldn’t quite fit Kitayama on my betting card, but I absolutely love his fit for Bellerive Country Club. He enters in very good form with 13 consecutive made cuts and back-to-back finishes of T24 and T12 leading in. His elite distance, long iron prowess, and spike putting upside make him a high ceiling flyer at the 2026 BMW Championship.

If not Kitayama, I would also consider playing Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, or Viktor Hovland in OAD.

BMW Championship Bets: The Card

That’ll do it for this week’s PGA TOUR golf bets. Best of luck this week with your own BMW Championship bets, and see you on Sunday for the TOUR Championship preview.
