The Atlanta Falcons are once again starting anew at head coach with Kevin Stefanski after parting ways with Raheem Morris following an 8-9 2025 season. They also have a brewing quarterback controversy on their hands, but Stefanski has the short-term luxury of starting training camp without having to field questions about the most visible position on the field thanks to the fact Michael Penix Jr. is in the final stages of his recovery from last year’s torn ACL. That means offseason arrival Tua Tagovailoa will continue to build on his head start as both quarterbacks try to master Stefanski’s offensive scheme, but Penix is likely to be ready for 11-on-11 drills in relatively short order.
Whoever is under center will benefit from the outsized presence of Bijan Robinson, who already makes a convincing argument for the title of best running back in the league, and top targets Drake London and Kyle Pitts, the latter who recorded a career-high 88 receptions and five touchdown catches in 2025 to earn himself a lucrative extension this offseason. Brian Robinson, Tyler Goodson and Jahan Dotson are all young offseason additions that could play key complementary roles in their first year with the team.
Defensively, the Falcons essentially stood pat this offseason and will rely on continued improvement from a unit that finished in the top half of the league last season with 326.6 total yards allowed per game, as well as tops in the NFC and No. 2 overall in the NFL with 57 sacks. Atlanta also picked off an impressive 16 passes, and shutdown cornerback A.J. Terrell is back to helm that ball-hawking secondary alongside star safety Jessie Bates.
2026 Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl Odds
For a team that has top-five players at two key skill positions, two viable options at quarterbacks and a defense with plenty of bona fides, the Falcons sport some very long Super Bowl winner odds. Atlanta is in the sixth slot from the bottom of the Super Bowl Winner market, checking in below the likes of the Commanders, Giants, Saints, Panthers and Titans. That could well prove erroneous by season’s end, and the price on an Atlanta SB win is indeed enticing. Because Tua has put up elite numbers before and the likes of Robinson, London and Pitts are as talented as they are — and Stefanski’s track record as a coordinator — I wouldn’t be totally opposed to taking a total flyer on this bet at this price.

2026 Atlanta Falcons NFC Championship Odds
As with the Super Bowl market, the Falcons are somewhat surprisingly proverbial cellar dwellers on the Conference Winner leaderboard. As with the rest of their NFC South mates, Atlanta faces quite the uphill battle to conquer a conference that also houses the Seahawks, Rams, 49ers, Lions, Eagles and Packers, to name but a few. Yet, for the reasons just cited in the Super Bowl Winner market discussion, the combination of the odds and the elite talent at certain positions for the Falcons paint them in a slightly different shade than division mates such as the Bucs and Panthers, for example. As such, while an NFC title is only a slightly less improbable scenario than a Super Bowl victory, a flyer on a longshot bet if your bankroll supports it is worth contemplating.

2026 Atlanta Falcons NFC South Odds
The theme of a potentially rewarding payout continues with the Division Winner market, where the Falcons sport the longest odds. What’s required to make this a winning ticket is much easier to envision than our prior two markets, and there indeed may be quite an edge in pouncing on this wager at its current figure. The Saints are somewhat of a trendy pick given Tyler Shough’s stretch-run body of work a year ago, but there’s plenty of film out there on the young signal-caller now and New Orleans also has its share of defensive questions. Bryce Young is still far from a surefire option under center in Carolina, while the Bucs will look to navigate the losses of Mike Evans and Lavonte David. Consequently, the Falcons have as good a chance of any of the four teams in the NFC South, and if Tagovailoa or Penix thrive as the starter, they may prove to have the division’s most complete team.

2026 Atlanta Falcons Win Total Odds
In keeping with the low expectations that define the bets we’ve discussed so far, Atlanta’s win total of 6.5 is also very modest. The case for an improved season in Stefanski’s debut campaign and a continuation of the defense’s strong play from last season could very well result in at least seven wins, even with a non-conference schedule that includes a road game in Green Bay and a home date against the Chiefs. Particularly if the Falcons prove to be much better than expected in the division, the path to punching this ticket is fairly plausible.

2026 Atlanta Falcons To Make The Playoffs Odds
The Falcons sport the eighth-longest odds in the To Make The Playoffs market, which is sensible enough slotting when considering the quality of the conference. However, as already discussed, Atlanta, if blessed with good health at key spots, could have the horses to emerge from what is likely to be the NFC’s weakest division as a whole. That naturally would result in an automatic playoff berth, and while it may indeed require a division title for any NFC South team to make the postseason, the Falcons have enough ammunition to get there.

2026 Atlanta Falcons MVP Award Odds & Contenders
- Michael Penix
- Bijan Robinson
- Drake London
- Tua Tagovailoa
Penix’s relatively short MVP odds and the disparity between his figure and Tagovailoa’s are very eye-catching, as there appears to be a clear expectation the former will win the job battle between him and the veteran offseason addition. I’m not sold on that by any means, nor do I think there are particularly strong odds one of them remains the starter from wire to wire this season (without even factoring in injuries). As such, I’m not in the camp of really taking a flyer on either quarterback in this market, especially with no assurances of who’ll open the season under center and Penix coming off yet another significant knee injury.
London’s prospects for this award aren’t quite as bright as Robinson’s, but as he demonstrated with his 100-1,271-9 line in 2024, the 2022 eighth overall pick has the ability to put up some eye-popping numbers. London will first and foremost have to be afforded a bit better luck on the health front compared to last season, when he missed five games, but if he and whoever is under center take to Stefanski’s system, there’s an outside chance London could put up career bests across the board.
Robinson is the player of the group that I see as a clear-cut MVP candidate. It takes a truly spectacular season for a non-quarterback to secure the award, but Robinson, who’s exceeded 1,400 rushing yards in each of the last two seasons, has never missed a regular-season game in his first three seasons and blew past the 2,000-scrimmage-yard threshold in 2025, has the talent and opportunity to pull it off. Naturally, the team’s overall fortunes would also play a significant role, but as already amply discussed, the Falcons could well outpace expectations this season.
Bet: Bijan Robinson
