Cleveland Browns 2026 NFL Season Preview, Betting Markets, Odds, Picks & Predictions
It has been an abysmal past few decades for the Cleveland Browns, securing just 10+ wins in three of the last thirty years. Plenty of quarterbacks have all attempted to turn the Browns back into a competitive unit, yet all have failed with no signs of turning it around anytime soon.
While their offense struggled to find their footing, their defense has quietly been able to play at a competitive level with Myles Garrett playing a major role in their success by consistently breaking through the trenches in his efforts of pressuring the quarterback. Garrett’s relentless pursuit gave wideouts less time in their routes to break away from their coverage on the back end, making it easier for their secondary to stay on their assignments hips.
With Garrett gone, their offense will no longer be masked by their defense, making it very difficult for the Browns to string together enough wins to compete in a top heavy division. Especially with Shedeur Sanders giving them minimal support with his individual production, turning the Browns sights towards the star studded 2027 draft class.
Cleveland Browns Super Bowl Odds
Do not let Sanders making the pro bowl fool you, he was arguably one of the most inefficient QBs in the league last year, residing near the bottom of the board in EPA per play, CPOE, and in Bad Throw Percentage. With Sanders incapable of stretching the field, opposing defenses are allowed to stack the box with no fear of getting burned through the air. Barring a miraculous turnaround, expect the Browns to find themselves down on the scoreboard early and often.

2026 Cleveland Browns AFC Championship Odds
To make matters worse for the Browns, the AFC is littered with contenders who are all capable of competing for the Super Bowl, plummeting their chances of even making the playoffs. The Browns regression on defense will also force them to play in high scoring shootouts, a track meet they can ill afford to participate in while fielding one of the more anemic offenses in the league.

2026 Cleveland Browns AFC North Odds
With health back on the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens side, the Browns must avoid getting off to a slow start while establishing their new identity on defense. While Jared Verse is a productive EDGE in his own right, the drop off in production from Garrett will bring down their defense as a whole, putting far too much pressure on their offense just to keep them afloat.

Cleveland Browns Win Total Odds
Even though the Browns are expected to severely struggle on both sides of the ball, their current win total of 5.5 is aligned with projections, making them a pass for now. If the Browns do get off to a slow start while Sanders shows signs of progression, bet the over on their win total a few weeks into the season before their schedule lightens up in the second half of the year.
Bet: Under 5.5 (+110)
2026 Cleveland Browns To Make The Playoffs Odds
With the AFC possessing plenty of contenders all capable of rattling off 9-10 wins, the Browns lack the talent that is needed to match their output, keeping them on the outside looking in. Pair the Browns to miss the playoffs with either the Atlanta Falcons or Chicago Bears, two franchises who are also expected to regress after an underwhelming offseason while locked into a log jam for one of the three wildcard spots.

2026 Cleveland Browns MVP Award Odds & Contenders
- Jared Verse
No matter who gets the start at QB for the Browns, both Sanders and Deshaun Watson lack the consistency that is needed to keep pace with the likes of Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Drake Maye, making them a pass for the MVP award. Especially with the Browns incapable of racking up enough wins to shine the spotlight on them, making it worth your time investing in other longshots on far more competitive teams.
