We’re going to take the Over here, as it has cashed in eight of nine meetings between the Dodgers and Cubs when playing in Wrigley Field – our top trend for this game. The Over has hit in five of six meetings overall along with seven of 10. At least one team has scored six runs in the last six straight meetings while the Dodgers have seen at least one team score eight or more runs in three of four games.

The underdog has covered the run line in six of eight meetings, while the home team has won outright in three straight meetings along with five of the last six. This would indicate the Cubbies to not only cover +1.5-runs, but beat the Dodgers outright – something we’re not entirely sold on despite the Dodgers losing four straight games entering Tuesday. Also, Chicago has surprisingly won eight straight games when facing NL West teams with a record above .500.

So the data is there to take the Cubs, but we’ll cower to the total instead.
