The English Premier League returns after a busy summer of football. Last season’s champions Arsenal open things up against newly promoted Coventry, with the remaining 18 teams in action throughout the weekend and into Monday. The EPL has been one of Europe’s most competitive leagues over the past few seasons and boasts star power that rivals any of the continent’s top five divisions.
A busy summer transfer window has brought plenty of new faces and storylines heading into the new campaign. All six of the traditional “Big Six” clubs have made significant signings, with some familiar names appearing in new colors. Most notably, Chelsea broke the British transfer record by signing attacker Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million.
Their London rivals Tottenham have also spent heavily after narrowly avoiding relegation last season, committing over £230 million on summer signings, and are aiming to add more before deadline day.
With that context in mind, here are the top props and DFS picks for this weekend’s EPL opening matches.

Best EPL Player Props Picks
- Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – 1+ Assists
- Alexander Isak (Liverpool) – 2+ Shots on Target
- Rayan Cherki (Manchester City) – 1+ Goals + Assists
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – 1+ Assists (+170)
After breaking the Premier League assist record last season, Manchester United’s captain will look to pick up where he left off against newly promoted Hull City. Fernandes had a difficult 2026 World Cup and was below his best in United’s three pre-season friendlies in early August. Even so, the Portuguese midfielder contributed an assist in the final pre-season outing and has already proven indispensable to Michael Carrick’s system.
With a full pre-season under the new manager and another year alongside United’s improved front three, Fernandes should have little trouble dictating play as he has for much of his career. The 31-year-old finished last season with 21 assists on 12.32 xA and created 33 big chances across 35 games. He averaged 3.9 passes leading to shots per game, and his teammates consistently capitalized on his elite playmaking throughout the season. Look for United to open the campaign with a comfortable win, with Fernandes playing a central role.
Alexander Isak (Liverpool) – 2+ Shots on Target (+170)
After a frustrating debut season at Liverpool, Isak will look to make his mark in his second year with the Reds. The Swedish striker was hampered by injuries last season but has been a full participant in Liverpool’s pre-season program heading into Sunday’s opener. The 6’4″ attacker has been one of the Premier League’s most dangerous forwards and now faces his former club in the first match of the new campaign.
Newcastle have been significantly overhauled since Isak’s time at the club, but there is still plenty of motivation for the striker to deliver here. Isak enters the season in solid form, having performed well at the 2026 World Cup with one goal and three assists across four appearances, averaging 1.5 shots on target per game during that run — a significant improvement on his 0.4 shots on target per game across 14 Premier League appearances in 2025-26. The 26-year-old will be eager to justify his record-breaking fee with a strong start to the 2026-27 season on Sunday.
Rayan Cherki (Manchester City) – 1+ Goals + Assists (+105)
Cherki announced himself to the Premier League in spectacular fashion last season. The French attacking midfielder was arguably underutilized at the 2026 World Cup and will look to make a statement with another strong season in one of the world’s elite leagues. Cherki finished his debut Premier League campaign with 26 goal contributions for City, and with several departures from the squad this summer, he could surpass that this season.
The 23-year-old is capable of playing across multiple positions thanks to his world-class dribbling and creativity. He also has the luxury of playing alongside arguably the best striker in the world, Erling Haaland, which was a major factor in his significant outperformance of his xA last season. Cherki finished with 12 assists on 8.65 xA despite starting just 19 games. With far more starts expected this season, expect an uptick in his numbers across the board.

Saturday English Premier League DFS Picks
- Forward – N. Okafor – $7,300
- Forward – I. Sarr – $7,000
- Midfield – A. Wharton – $6,000
- Midfield – H. Wilson – $6,600
- Defense – D. Munoz – $5,700
- Defense – N. Williams – $6,700
- Goalie – R. Roefs – $4,800
- UTIL – B. Brobbey – $5,9000
DraftKings is offering contests for Saturday’s three 10 a.m. games featuring Leeds vs. Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace vs. Everton, and Sunderland vs. Ipswich. We built our lineup around these three games, starting with Leeds winger Noah Okafor. The Swiss attacker saw limited minutes at the 2026 World Cup despite a strong club season, finishing with nine goal involvements in just 19 starts for Leeds. He could be in line for a bigger role this season and will look to hit the ground running and cement his place in the starting XI.
Ismaïla Sarr is our second attacker, coming off an outstanding 2026 World Cup. The Senegalese winger scored four goals and added an assist across four games for his country and carried that form into Crystal Palace’s pre-season, scoring once in limited minutes across three appearances. Sarr will now look to get off the mark against Everton on Saturday. He finished with 10 goal contributions in 24 Premier League starts last season and was a key figure in Crystal Palace’s UEFA Conference League triumph.
Sarr’s teammate Adam Wharton was heavily linked with a move away this summer, but remains at Crystal Palace and will look to continue developing in his third full season at the club. The 22-year-old has made a name for himself with his creativity and aggressive passing style, always looking to move the ball forward quickly. Wharton finished last season with seven assists across all competitions and, while he is not a prolific goal contributor, he is central to Palace’s system and sees plenty of the ball throughout games.
Harry Wilson will look to build on one of the best seasons of his career with his new club Leeds. The former Fulham attacking midfielder brings versatility to the side, and it remains to be seen exactly how he will be used in this new system. The 29-year-old contributed 19 goal involvements last season and should thrive in Leeds’ transition-heavy attack. He will line up alongside some of the Premier League’s best counter-attackers and hold-up play specialists, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who could form a strong partnership with Wilson in transition situations.
Daniel Muñoz returns to Crystal Palace after a strong 2026 World Cup campaign with Colombia. The right back has a knack for getting forward and making an impact at both ends of the pitch. Muñoz scored two important goals for his country despite operating in a back four and should now have even more license to attack with Palace, where he plays as a wing back in a back three. Look for him to rack up points going forward while continuing to contribute the solid defensive work we have come to expect.
Neco Williams burst onto the scene last season for Nottingham Forest, and the 25-year-old Welsh defender looks poised for a breakout year. Much like Muñoz, Williams provides a genuine threat going forward, with five goal contributions from left back last season serving as evidence of that. He played more minutes than in any previous season and was crucial to Forest’s survival after a difficult campaign for the club overall. Despite those hardships, Williams was a consistent presence on both sides of the ball and should take his game to another level as he enters his physical prime this season.
Robin Roefs was one of the surprises of last season, playing a key role in Sunderland’s unexpected success following promotion from the Championship. The Dutch keeper averaged 3.1 saves per game and saved 70% of shots he faced. With a full Premier League season under his belt, the 23-year-old should arrive far more confident heading into his second campaign. Sunderland open against newly promoted Ipswich, and Roefs should have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet against a side that may need time to adjust to life in the top flight.
Sunderland’s Brian Brobbey rounds out our lineup after a breakout summer at the World Cup. The 24-year-old Dutchman scored three goals for the Netherlands and will look to carry that form into the new club season. Brobbey scored seven goals in 22 starts last season and has firmly established himself as the first-choice striker following his performances this summer. Expect him to bring that momentum into Saturday’s opener against Ipswich.
