Falcons-Packers DFS Picks: Best Value Plays, NFL Week 3

Week 3 of the NFL season kicks off with the Green Bay Packers hosting the winless Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football. After opening the season with third- and fourth-string QBs, Atlanta is expected to field Michael Penix Jr. for the first time this year in Week 3. The Falcons desperately need the offensive boost, and his return should make for an exciting matchup with plenty of playmakers on both sides.

👑 Drake London, ATL/WR/MVP ($13,200)

After two impressive seasons, London has had a slow start to his fifth year. The former USC standout has been hampered by poor QB play through the first two weeks but should see a significant uptick with Penix back under center. He has seen 10 total targets across the first two games, commanding a 22.7% target share.

The clearly frustrated star should be the focal point of Atlanta’s offense as the Falcons look to get in the win column for the first time this season. In 12 career games with Penix at QB, London averages 11.1 targets and 91.9 yards per game. The matchup against Green Bay’s secondary is tough, but the volume alone should justify his captain price tag.

Bijan Robinson, ATL/RB ($11,800)

The main reason defenses can’t focus solely on London is Bijan Robinson. Regardless of who has been under center, Robinson has produced steadily through the first two weeks and should only get better with Penix in the lineup. Green Bay’s front has given opposing RBs some trouble, allowing just 2.9 yards per carry to start the season, but Robinson is a different kind of challenge.

Even with defenses expecting a run-heavy approach behind backup QBs, Robinson has averaged 127 scrimmage yards per game through two weeks, including a TD in Week 1. He is arguably the league’s best pass-catching RB and will continue to be a weapon in the short passing game with Penix back — 11 catches for 99 yards in his first two games this season.

Matthew Golden, GB/WR ($7,800)

Golden is the first of three Packers WRs in our Thursday lineup. The second-year receiver had a modest rookie campaign — 29 receptions for 361 yards across 14 games — and has not exactly jumped out of the gate this season either. That said, he showed signs of life in Sunday’s comeback win, leading the team with 58 receiving yards on 4 receptions in a disjointed offensive performance from Jordan Love.

Golden should see more volume on Thursday with WR Jayden Reed doubtful after suffering a neck injury last week. He saw just 1 target in the first half of Sunday’s game before seeing five in the second half and overtime combined. If that second-half version is what we can expect going forward, Golden is an intriguing play in a game with a 40-plus point total.

Nick Folk, ATL/K ($4,800)

Veteran K Nick Folk has had an uncharacteristically shaky start to his 19th NFL season — 3-of-6 on FG attempts with just one extra point through two weeks. He was Atlanta’s lone scorer in Sunday’s 34-3 loss but should see far more opportunities with the offensive upgrade his team is getting this week.

Atlanta’s offense has historically been more productive with Penix under center, averaging just over 20 PPG since the start of the 2025 season with him at QB. Through two games this year, the Falcons are averaging just 8.0 PPG. Folk is due for a higher-volume week, and he will know he needs to be sharper given how short a leash kickers have in today’s game.

Christian Watson, GB/WR ($9,800)

After signing one of the biggest WR contracts of the offseason, Watson has wasted no time justifying the Packers’ investment. The fifth-year receiver has 3 TDs across the first two weeks, hauling in 10 receptions for 188 yards to lead the team. He has commanded a team-high 36% target share and could see even more with Reed unlikely to play.

Watson showed his big-play ability in the opener with an 81-yard TD in the first quarter but has also established himself as Love’s primary goal-line option. Two of his three TDs have come within five yards of the end zone, and he leads the team with 5 red-zone targets. He is developing into a legitimate WR1, and there are no signs of that slowing down.

Skyy Moore, GB/WR ($2,400)

With our lineup carrying several high-priced options, we needed value, and Moore fits the bill at just $2,400. He does not need to do much to justify that price, and the data suggests he could be more involved this week, with Reed unlikely to play. His snap count jumped from 4 in Week 1 to 21 in Week 2 after Reed went down.

Moore saw 3 targets on Sunday and caught 2 for 6 yards. The raw numbers are modest, but Love looking his way on 14.3% of his snaps is encouraging. With Watson and Golden drawing most of the defensive attention, Moore could benefit from favorable matchups against an Atlanta secondary that has struggled. The Packers will also likely need to keep throwing, as their run game has sputtered over the past two weeks.
