The Pick: Rams 24, Giants 23
We’ll take the Giants ATS here, based on trends against the Rams both in head-to-head games along with recent ones.
Game Betting Analysis
This is a tricky one to test, with the total market all over the place we land in the ATS market for this one, siding with the G-Men who have covered five of seven meetings with the Rams. Los Angeles is also on a current 0-4 ATS skid, while missing Myles Garrett and seeing Aaron Donald on a small snap cap. This all hangs on Dart though, and his ability to extend plays against this defense missing key players on the line (or limited at least). Dart has seen over 30 rushing yards in four of five games and over 230 passing yards in four of five against NFC opponents, so we’ll back the Dart-Harbaugh love here and play on the ATS trends working against L.A.
Giants-Rams Odds (Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under)
Deciding Factor: Jaxson Dart vs. Shorthanded Rams Front
New York’s offense is rolling behind its rookie quarterback. Dart torched Dallas for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns on 23-of-29 passing in his Harbaugh-era debut, adding 54 yards on the ground, and he now owns the highest passer rating in primetime games in NFL history among quarterbacks with at least three starts (114.5). That efficiency fits an offense that put up 394 total yards and converted 81.8% of its third downs in Week 1, signaling Harbaugh is building around Dart’s ability to extend plays and push the ball downfield rather than leaning on a conservative script.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, is trying to defend that with a front seven missing its two biggest additions. Myles Garrett — acquired in a blockbuster offseason trade — is on IR after knee surgery and isn’t expected back until Week 6 at the earliest. Aaron Donald’s long-awaited season debut is happening Monday night, not Week 1, and he’s reportedly capped at roughly 30 snaps, a fraction of the 64 he played in his last outing against these same Giants back in 2023. If the Rams can’t generate pressure with a rotation that light up front, Dart gets the same clean pocket that produced a career night against Dallas — and that’s a nightmare matchup for a Rams defense that’s already reeling from a 27-7 Week 1 loss.
