The 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament concludes with a contest between the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. The winner advances to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round, while the loser is eliminated.
Golden State won three of four matchups this season, and the last game was on Feb. 5 before Kristaps Porzingis made his Warriors debut.
Warriors vs. Suns Betting Analysis
The Warriors rallied from a nine-point deficit with 6:37 remaining in the fourth quarter to beat the Clippers and keep their playoff hopes alive. Stephen Curry scored 35 points and knocked down seven triples, while Kristaps Porzingis and Gui Santos each contributed 20 points.
Draymond Green turned back the clock and shut down Kawhi Leonard. During his post-game interview, Leonard called Green a “Hall of Fame defender” and said “it was hard to even get shots up.” That’s quite the praise coming from a two-time Finals MVP who has averaged 28.6 points per game over his past 71 playoff games.
Phoenix was on the other end of a comeback, as it blew an eight-point lead with 3:31 remaining against Portland. The Suns couldn’t get stops in the fourth quarter but also missed too many free throws and surrendered too many offensive rebounds in general.
On the bright side, Jalen Green scored 35 points on 14-of-29 shooting from the field. The former second overall pick looked crisp and explosive. Phoenix needs another big night from Green because there is too much of a burden on Devin Booker’s shoulders when Green struggles with his shot.
Besides technical fouls for the inevitable dust-up between Green and Dillon Brooks, the best bet in this matchup is taking Green to grab a maximum of five rebounds. He’s less active on the defensive glass when Porzingis plays, and Phoenix is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the league. Although the Suns give up a decent amount of offensive rebounds, Green only averages 0.8 offensive rebounds per game. His total rebound count essentially boils down to defensive rebounds.
