The Indianapolis Colts head into the 2026-27 NFL season after what was nothing short of a phenomenal start to a season gone horribly wrong.
In Week 14, sitting at 8-5 and in the midst of a three-game losing streak, Colts quarterback Daniel Jones suffered an Achilles tear. This happened after it was learned he was playing through a fractured left fibula.
Now, it remains to be seen if he’ll be ready to go for Week 1 or not. Earlier this month, Jones told James Boyd of The Athletic that he’s been cleared and good to go. In the event he’s not, the team will turn to second-year quarterback Riley Leonard, who started in Week 18 against the Houston Texans and threw for 270 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
Below, we’ll explore the Colts’ Super Bowl, AFC Championship, AFC South odds, and more.
Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl Odds
The Colts are sitting at +6000 to win the Super Bowl. While they had a great start to last season, starting 8-2, they then lost three in a row and finished 8-5. Following Jones’ injury, they didn’t win another game.
This offseason, they lost a few notable pieces, including edge rusher Kwity Paye and offensive lineman Braden Smith. However, they did sign wide receiver Alec Pierce to a $114 million deal and brought in edge rushers Michael Clemons and Arden Key.
The Colts do have a quality season, but with question marks around Jones and me simply being unsure they can strike lightning twice after a good season, I’m passing on the Super Bowl.

2026 Indianapolis Colts AFC Championship Odds
When I look around the AFC, I see teams such as the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, and more. The Colts had a fantastic offense, leading the league in yards per game from Weeks 1 to 10. That said, it’s fair to wonder if they can do that again with Jones coming off a torn Achilles? The competition is too stiff to feel good about the Colts winning the AFC.
Bet: No
2026 Indianapolis Colts AFC South Odds
The AFC South is going to be a battle this season. The Texans have a dominant defense, the Jacksonville Jaguars were firing on all cylinders last season, and the Tennessee Titans have an entirely new coaching staff.
When I look at this team, I have a few questions:
- Can Pierce be a true WR1?
- Can cornerback Sauce Gardner bounce back to his All-Pro level of play?
- Can edge rusher Laiatu Latu develop even more than his 8.5 sacks and 61 pressures last season?
- Will Jones be healthy enough?
The Colts are +400 to win the division. There are maybe a few too many question marks for me, but it’s not outside of the realm of possibility.
Bet: Yes
2026 Indianapolis Colts Win Total Odds
The Colts win total sits at 7.5 games with the “over” listed at -140. At this line, I’ll take the over. There are still a lot of question marks, including Jones, but you cannot deny that those first 10 weeks. Remember, this team was rolling at 8-2 and putting up nearly 400 yards per game. I believe there will be some Jones regression, but something clicked between him and head coach Shane Steichen. I see the Colts as an 8 or 9-win squad.
Bet: Over
2026 Indianapolis Colts To Make The Playoffs Odds
When it’s all said and done, I believe the Colts miss the playoffs. While there are three Wild Card slots, the Colts will need to compete for those against almost all of the AFC North, two teams in the AFC East, and several teams in the AFC West. They also open the season against some potential competition for those Wild Card spots, including the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, and Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ll end up finishing close, but ultimately miss the postseason. The division has better value if you like Indy to reach the playoffs.
Bet: No
2026 Indianapolis Colts MVP Award Odds & Contenders
- Daniel Jones
- Jonathan Taylor
The only player I could foresee even having a remote chance of winning the NFL MVP award is running back Jonathan Taylor. Last season he ran 323 times for 1,585 yards, 18 touchdowns, and caught 46 passes for 378 yards and two more scores. He gets plenty of volume, and he’s someone capable of rushing for 2,000 yards, but that’s likely what it’ll take.
Bet: Jonathan Taylor
