The MLB Playoffs continue Saturday with what should be a climactic Game 5 after the Guardians clawed back from an 0-2 series hole.
Cleveland will now have a chance to advance in front of the home crowd, and although we still don’t have announced starting pitchers as of Friday afternoon, there’s still a couple of talented hitters we can focus on.

Jose Ramirez (Guardians vs. White Sox) Over Hits + Runs + RBI
Ramirez came through for us in Thursday’s Game 4, launching a go-ahead homer and delivering three RBI overall to help ensure Saturday’s Game 5. Ramirez has been swinging a hot bat after a quiet start to the series, as he’d also gone 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, two RBI, a stolen base, a walk and two runs in Game 3.
Ramirez now boasts a 1.056 OPS in the series overall, and also has generated an average of 1.8 hits + runs + RBI per playoff game during his long career with the help of 17 extra-base hits. Ramirez also was at his best at home by far during the regular season, where he posted a .260 average and .748 OPS, along with 2.0 hits + runs + RBI per game.

Chase Meidroth (White Sox at Guardians) Over 0.5 Singles
Meidroth had a breakout second season, posting a .276/.350/.415 slash line with 47 extra-base hits across 154 games. The talented infielder was even better on the road than he was his home park, as Meidroth posted a .288 average, .784 OPS and .347 wOBA outside Rate Field. He’s also enjoyed a productive first postseason, posting a .348 average and .965 OPS across 25 plate appearances.
Meidroth has five singles among his eight knocks thus far this postseason, and he rapped out 62 singles among his 84 hits on the road during the regular season. Meidroth’s leadoff slotting in the lineup always gives him the chance of an extra plate appearance per game, and his typically above-average contact rates also always boost his chances of having at least one ball fall in .
