Pittsburgh Steelers 2026 NFL Season Preview, Betting Markets, Odds, Picks & Predictions
With the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens ravaged by injuries, the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to take advantage of their regression and secure the AFC North division title. Unfortunately for the Steelers, they were unable to carry over their momentum into the playoffs, losing to the Houston Texans 30-6 in the wildcard round.
Their success in the regular season was certainly stunning when factoring in the minimal support Aaron Rodgers gave them under center, ranking well below league average in EPA per play, CPOE, Bad Throw Percentage, and in Air Yards/Reception. With Rodgers holding them back, the Steelers were overly reliant on their defense to keep them competitive, an unsustainable feat when factoring in the uptick in variance.
With the Bengals and Ravens expected to round back into form, the Steelers chances of winning their second straight division title looks bleak, lowering their chances of making the playoffs and competing for the Super Bowl. Even with a revamped offense, temper your expectations of the Steelers recapturing the same success they had last season.
2026 Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Odds
Even when littered with talent on both sides of the ball, the Steelers will go only as far as Rodgers can carry them. A harsh reality with the future hall of famer a shell of his former self, struggling to air out the ball to the demise of their offense. Unless the Steelers can suddenly find answers at the most pivotal position, they will struggle to keep pace with the top of their division and be held out of the playoffs.

2026 Pittsburgh Steelers AFC Championship Odds
Not only is Rodgers showing clear signs of regression, the Steelers defense have also taken a step back after years of dominance, finishing last season ranked outside the top-10 in Def DVOA. With their defense struggling to play at a high level, they are forced to play in highly volatile contests, plummeting their chances of winning on a weekly basis.

2026 Pittsburgh Steelers AFC North Odds
Even with Lamar Jackson sitting out for a few weeks, the Steelers still struggled to pull away from the Ravens, needing a missed chip shot field goal in week 18 just to secure the division title. With Jackson and Joe Burrow back at full health, both offenses are expected to bounce back in a big way, making it difficult for the Steelers to match their output while lacking the explosiveness that is needed to move the ball down the field at a high rate.

2026 Pittsburgh Steelers Win Total Odds
While I am bearish on the Steelers ability to compete within the division, their win total of 7.5 is still far too low when compared to projections (8.8 wins), making the Over worth a wager. Even with Rodgers holding them back, their offense was still able to climb into the top half of the board in Off DVOA and in Success Rate. If Rodgers can avoid regressing any further, then the Steelers will at least be competitive enough to go 8-9, then you just need one more win.

2026 Pittsburgh Steelers To Make The Playoffs Odds
Not only are the Bengals and Ravens expected to round back into form with health back on their side, but the Kansas City Chiefs will also bounce back in a major way, muddying the Steelers chances of grabbing one of the three wild card spots. Pass on the Steelers playoff markets for now, but keep an eye on the “miss” should both sides of the field show no signs of progress while the rest of the AFC racks up wins at a more consistent rate.

2026 Pittsburgh Steelers MVP Award Odds & Contenders
- Aaron Rodgers
- TJ Watt
A four time MVP and surefire hall of famer, Rodgers has been unable to combat against father time at the tail end of his career, hovering near the bottom of the board in most efficiency metrics. Even if the Steelers were able to rattle off another ten win season, Rodger’s inability to stretch the field will make it impossible for him to match the top contenders stat lines, making him a pass to win the award.
