Paige Bueckers (DAL) – Over Points + Assists
Bueckers comes into Tuesday’s favorable matchup with the Fire already riding a strong stretch of play, as the star guard is averaging 26.8 points + assists and shooting 49.8%, incluing 41.8% from three-point range, over her last 15 games. Bueckers is averaging a robust 19.6 field-goal + free-throw attempts per game in that span, and she’s been even better in her last six contests with 29.5 points + assists on 51.0% shooting across an elevated 32.7 minutes per game.
Bueckers posted 26 points + assists in her one prior meeting with Portland this season, and that was a game where she shot an atypically poor 7-for-17 from the floor. The Fire is allowing the third-highest three-point shooting percentage to guards (37.1%) and facilitating the fifth-most free-throw attempts per game to the position as well (10.9). Then, Portland is also giving up the third-most assists per contest to Bueckers’ position (14.6) and a league-high 23.0 per contest overall; in turn, Bueckers has at least five dimes in 24 of 36 games, a hit rate of 66.7%.

Shakira Austin (WAS) – Over Points + Rebounds
Austin was outstanding Sunday against the Fire, recording a season-high 31 points and adding 10 rebounds over 33 minutes. It was Austin’s third double-digit rebounding performance in the last four games, and it pushed her average over the last 17 games to 31.0 points + rebounds on 52.0% shooting. Austin has 10 double-doubles during that month-plus sample, and she’s shooting an even better 54.8% over the last five games.
Austin posted 30 points + rebounds over 26 minutes in her one prior meeting with the Mercury back on Aug. 9. Phoenix has been about middle of the pack in preventing scoring from centers this season, allowing the eighth-most points per game to the position (15.4). However, the Mercury has conceded the fourth-most rebounds per game to fives (9.6), as well as the fourth-highest defensive rebounding percentage (76.9%) at home.

Alyssa Thomas (PHO) – Over Points + Rebounds
Thomas is having another standout, stat-sheet-stuffing season, averaging 14.8 points, 8.3 assists, 7.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting over 50.0% for the third straight campaign (51.4%). Thomas is coming off her second triple-double in the last seven games Saturday against the Dream, a span where she’s averaging 24.6 points + rebounds across 34.6 minutes per contest.
While including assists in Thomas’ props is always a consideration, the opposing Mystics tend to make teams inefficient when shooting and limited the talented forward to a relatively modest six dimes in their one prior meeting. In turn, they gave up 10 points and 10 rebounds to Thomas in that Aug. 9 matchup, and Washington’s tendency to force plenty of opponent misses – the Mystics are surrendering the third-lowest shooting percentage on the road (42.3%) – should set Thomas up with her fair share of opportunities on the offensive glass.
