WNBA Best Player Prop Picks, Odds, Predictions for Saturday, August 1, 2026

We’re set for a relatively rare afternoon-only slate Saturday, with the WNBA getting its business done early via a matinee doubleheader. While the two games feature teams with winning marks facing non-contenders, there will still be plenty of star power on the floor.

As customary, we dive into three player props to consider.

Saturday’s Best WNBA Player Props

  • Chelsea Gray (LVA) – Over Points + Rebounds + Assists
  • Sabrina Ionescu (NYL) – Over Points
  • Kahleah Copper (PHO) – Over Points + Rebounds

2026 WNBA Betting Record: 40-22 (+14.40 units)

Chelsea Gray (LVA) – Over Points + Rebounds + Assists

There are several Aces players we could go with against the vulnerable Sky, perhaps the most prominent being A’ja Wilson. However, while Wilson’s props are particularly elevated and there is some blowout risk in this game, Gray is also in a very good positional matchup and has a more reasonable bar to clear. The talented guard already comes in on an impressive multi-game stretch of play, averaging 21.7 points + assists with 53.4% shooting, including 50.0% from behind the arc, in the last six contests.

The Sky is surrendering the eighth-most points (45.2) and second-most rebounds (13.0) per game to guards on the season, and the fourth-most points (90.1) and fourth-most assists (20.7) per home game. Gray has already enjoyed plenty of success in her two prior encounters with Chicago as well, putting up points + rebounds + assists totals of 32 and 28 while shooting 50.0% in that pair of contests.

Original Line Publish: 21.5

Sabrina Ionescu (NYL) – Over Points

The Liberty-Mercury clash has a tight 2.5-point spread and elevated 176.5-point projected total, so we should see the frontline players on either side get some heavy minutes. Ionescu’s points prop is a reasonable one for a player of her upside and recent body of work, considering the talented guard is averaging 22.4 points on 48.1% shooting, including 39.6% from three-point range, over her last seven games.

Those numbers represent a significant surge, considering she put up only 10.7 points on 35.2% shooting in her first 10 games of the season. Ionescu now faces a Mercury squad allowing 46.2% shooting at home, including a WNBA-high 37.7% success rate from downtown. Phoenix is also conceding the second-most made three-pointers per home contest (9.6), and the second-most points per game to guards overall this season (48.8).

Original Line Publish: 19.5

Kahleah Copper (PHO) – Over Points + Rebounds

Copper has turned back the clock in her age-31 season, as she’s putting up the second-highest scoring average of her career (20.7) across her first 28 games. While the veteran is shooting a middling 43.5% overall, she’s been particularly impressive since mid-June. Copper is averaging 28.4 points + rebounds on a blistering 52.5% success rate from the floor over her last 15 games, a span where she’s also averaging 22.5 field-goal + free-throw attempts per contest.

The Liberty has some of the more drastic home/road splits in the league on defense. New York is allowing 48.2% shooting per road game compared to 41.7% at home, and a similar disparity exists with three-point shooting (38.4% allowed on the road, 31.4% at home). Then, in terms of positional matchup, the Liberty is surrendering the fourth-most points per game to guards (47.9), and while New York has been good overall at rebound prevention, it’s only middle of the pack in that category when it comes to guards (13.8 rebounds per contest surrendered to the position).

Original Line Publish: 25.5
