Natasha Howard (MIN) – Over Points + Rebounds

Howard continues to churn out consistent production in her age-34 season, and she enters Thursday’s matchup on an extended stretch of solid numbers that dates back nine games. The veteran forward has put up 20.4 points + rebounds across 29.3 minutes per contest over that stretch, shooting a blistering 55.0% in the process. Howard has gone 6-3 to the Over on the 18.5 in that sample, and she finished right on the hook with 18 in one other contest during that span.

Thursday, Howard faces a Tempo team that can be vulnerable to the forward position on both the scoreboard and glass. Toronto gave up 19 points + rebounds to Howard in Tuesday’s return-to-play matchup, and the Tempo is now conceding the third-most points (29.4) and fifth-most rebounds (14.2) per game to the position. The Tempo is also surrendering elevated 54.8% shooting over the last three games, as well as the second-highest offensive rebounding rate (30.3%) on the season. The latter figure is particularly relevant for Howard’s prop, considering she’s pulling down a career-high 3.3 offensive boards per contest this season.

Olivia Nelson-Ododa (CON) – Over Points + Rebounds

Nelson-Ododa is averaging a modest 15.4 points + rebounds per game on the season. While that’s a career-high number, it still falls considerably short of Thursday’s prop. However, the 25-year-old center actually has those figures trending firmly upward with a multi-week stretch of elevated production, as she’s averaging 19.5 points + rebounds on 53.7% shooting across 26.1 minutes per contest over her last 11 games.

Nelson-Ododa’s matchup Thursday supports the notion of an extension of that hot streak, as the Sky has been vulnerable to centers all season. Chicago is allowing the fifth-most points (16.7) and most rebounds (10.3) per contest to fives, and the Sky is also giving up the third-highest defensive rebounding rate (77.8%) and second-highest offensive rebounding rate (29.9%) of any team on its home floor. Nelson-Ododa also supplied 26 points + rebounds over 27 minutes in her one prior start against the Sky this season, furthering her case.

Jackie Young (LVA) – Over Points + Rebounds + Assists

Young is enjoying her best scoring season since 2023, as she’s averaging 17.0 points on 47.9% shooting across 27 games while also dishing out a career-high 6.6 assists per contest. The veteran guard has been even better than those numbers of late, as she’ll come into Thursday with averages of 29.9 points + rebounds + assists on 56.7% shooting across 31.9 minutes per contest in the last 10 games.

The opposing Liberty is a quality team, but New York has some fairly drastic home/road splits when it comes to its defense. Chris DeMarco’s squad is surrendering 48.0% shooting on road compared to 41.7% at home, and the Liberty is also facilitating a 37.8% three-point shooting when traveling. Then, the Liberty, which is ranked bottom 6 or worse in all three categories against guards, is also giving up the third-most assists per road game (22.7), and Young generated 30 points + rebounds + assists against them in her one prior encounter this season on June 23.
