Apollo Entertainment Gets 7th Alberta Online Casino Approval
Three more Apollo Entertainment Ltd. gaming platforms have received conditional approval to launch when the regulated Alberta online casino market opens on July 13.
As it stands, Malta-based Apollo will have the largest footprint of any iGaming operators in the province. With the approvals of Grand Mondial Casino, Yukon Gold Casino and Zodiac Casino, Apollo has seven platforms that have received the go-ahead for the final certification stages.
There are now more than four dozen brands approved to launch Alberta online casinos and sportsbooks.

AGLC: No concern over number of Alberta online casino brands
Apollo already had four other brands approved over two Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis registrant updates.
AGLC spokesperson Lynden McBeth said there are no concerns about an operator having a large amount of apps.
“The focus from AGLC’s Regulatory division is on compliance and transparency and not on the volume of brands or domains,” said McBeth.
888 gets approved, too
VHL Ontario also received approval this week to operate under its 888 brand. 888 operates online casino, sports betting and poker in Ontario, with its poker site also hosting tournaments for those looking for more advanced stakes.
The 888 Poker brand, which is traced back to VHL’s headquarters in Gibraltar, is globally known, and endorsed by celebrity players such as Vivian Saliba, Ian Simpson and Lucia Navarro.
