Week 7 wraps up with a historic NFC East rivalry for Monday Night Football as the Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles. Neither team has had a strong start to the season, but with the division still very much up for grabs, every divisional game carries added weight. Both teams arrive at the primetime spot at 2-4, though the outlook looks bleaker for the penultimate Super Bowl champions, with injuries and misfortunes continuing to pile up.

👑 Javonte Williams, DAL/RB/MVP ($15,900)

Cowboys RB Javonte Williams earns the captain spot once again as one of the most consistent players on a volatile offense. While the stars of the Dallas offense have taken turns stepping up week to week, Williams has remained steady and enters Monday with at least one TD in each of his last four games. His 8 TDs for the season rank second in the league, and he will look to add to that total against a division rival he has had success against throughout his time in Dallas.

Williams combined for 165 scrimmage yards across the two meetings in his first season in this rivalry, adding 2 TDs and a pair of receptions in each game. The Eagles defense has lost a step this season, and Williams could be in for an even more productive showing in his second year with America’s Team. Philadelphia ranks 19th against the run, allowing 119.3 yards per game and already allowing 8 rushing TDs heading into Week 7. With the Eagles hobbled by injuries, Williams could also be leaned on heavily in the fourth quarter if Dallas is looking to close out the game.

Dak Prescott, DAL/QB ($10,400)

Dallas star QB Dak Prescott has been one of the more difficult quarterbacks to read through the first six weeks. His numbers look impressive on paper, but they haven’t translated into wins and often come with his team playing from behind with the game out of reach. Even so, the 11th-year veteran enters Monday’s primetime matchup ranked fifth in passing yards at 1,639, though his 10:5 TD-to-INT ratio has been the biggest blemish on an otherwise productive stretch. We are backing the 33-year-old to bounce back against division rivals he knows as well as anyone after a career spent as a Cowboy.

Monday night looks like the ideal spot for Prescott to find his form again. Philadelphia’s secondary ranks in the bottom six, conceding 244.5 passing yards per game, and has received little help from its pass rush, which generates some of the worst QB pressure in the league. The Eagles have forced just three turnovers all season — good news for Prescott, who has thrown 4 INTs across his last two games. With a clean pocket, a full complement of weapons, and added motivation against a division rival, expect Prescott to look like his best self on Monday evening.

George Pickens, DAL/WR ($9,000)

We’ll pair the Cowboys’ QB with one half of his superstar WR duo in George Pickens. While his targets have been inconsistent at times this season, the former Bulldog enters Monday’s matchup off back-to-back strong outings that could signal a sustained trend. He has seen 24 targets over his last two games, actually edging out superstar teammate CeeDee Lamb by one target in that span. While he still has ground to make up to match the standard he set in his first year with the Cowboys, Pickens is trending in the right direction heading into his third appearance in this rivalry.

The former Steeler torched the Eagles in his most recent meeting with the NFC East rivals last season, finishing with 9 receptions for 146 yards and a TD — with Lamb active. Philadelphia will once again have to pick their poison with both wideouts ramping up simultaneously and dangerous in single coverage. The Eagles’ single-high safety look, which they run on over 60% of snaps, is one that Pickens excels against, and Prescott will trust his star to exploit it on Monday night.

Jake Ferguson, DAL/TE ($4,400)

TE Jake Ferguson is an intriguing budget option for Monday night, slotting in just under $4,500 as the Cowboys’ starting tight end. Ownership should be low after three straight games with under 20 receiving yards, but the underlying numbers suggest Ferguson still has a meaningful role in this offense and could bounce back at any moment. He had 3 TDs across the first three games of the season before going cold since.

The 6’5″ tight end remains one of Dallas’ biggest red-zone threats and has built a strong connection with Prescott near the goal line. He ranks third on the Cowboys in red-zone targets through six weeks and fourth in overall target share, just behind WR Ryan Flournoy. The Eagles are running thin at the LB position due to injuries, and the physical Ferguson could find himself in favorable coverage matchups as he did last season — when he saw 6 targets in both meetings against Philadelphia.

Makai Lemon, PHI/WR ($3,800)

Rookie WR Makai Lemon steps into the lead receiver role for the first time in his career with the position decimated by injury. Both DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wick are confirmed out on Monday, leaving Lemon as the WR1 alongside new QB Tanner McKee. The Eagles’ first-round pick has struggled to make an impact through his first six professional games, but will now be thrown into the fire in a primetime divisional matchup.

Lemon saw 6 targets in his first game with McKee under center, catching three for 19 yards. He now has 13 targets over the last two weeks, trailing only Wick and Smith in that span. The 22-year-old has now seen at least 6 targets in three straight games, and with the workload increasing significantly, a potential breakout on Monday night is within reach. The Cowboys secondary has struggled all season, ranking 23rd in passing yards allowed at 232.7 per game. With McKee still finding his footing, expect him to lean heavily on Lemon as his primary option going forward.

Dallas Goedert, PHI/TE ($6,400)

Beyond Lemon, TE Dallas Goedert will be another reliable target for Philadelphia’s young QB in his second career start. McKee targeted the veteran tight end the second most of any receiver (8) in the Week 6 loss to Carolina, with Goedert finishing with 6 receptions for 61 yards. He should be central to the game plan against Dallas as one of the most experienced offensive players still healthy on the roster.

The ninth-year veteran returned from an MCL sprain in Week 5 and now has back-to-back games with 6 receptions heading into Monday. His 17 targets over that two-game stretch bode well against a Cowboys secondary allowing the 15th-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. With the Eagles’ run game in question and likely playing from behind, Philadelphia should look to attack the weaker parts of the Dallas secondary through the air, and Goedert will be a key piece of that approach.
