Top Prediction Market Trades: Best World Cup Trades for Saturday, June 27

Croatia/Ghana Over 2.5 Goals: No (0.60¢ at Kalshi)

Croatia looked very slow in their win vs. Panama. They were fortunate to be able to hold Panama off the scoresheet in that one. I’m not confident in Croatia being able to generate many scoring chances against Ghana here.

That’s because Ghana has been terrific defensively, putting up back-to-back clean sheets, including a 0-0 draw vs. England. This is a team that plays very conservatively, playing a low block and allowing opponents to come to them.

With Croatia only needing a point to guarantee a spot in the knockout rounds, and Ghana already through, this has the look of a 1-0 or 1-1 game. Under 2.5 goals looks like the best play on the slate.

England/Panama Both Teams to Score: Yes (0.42¢ at Kalshi)

England was held off the score sheet against Ghana, so they’ll look to bounce back from that. If the Three Lions only draw this match and Ghana wins, the Black Stars will win the group. Therefore, there’s motivation to push forward here for England.

Panama has deserved better than zero goals and zero points, threatening both Ghana and Croatia in their two losses. This is the only remaining team that has yet to score a goal. So even though they’re eliminated, they’re going to be motivated to ensure that they don’t leave the World Cup without finding the net.

I love the price on this one at 42 cents, so we’ll ride with Both Teams to Score: Yes here.

Portugal/Colombia Both Teams to Score: Yes (0.53¢ at Kalshi)

I have been very impressed with how well Colombia has played so far. They could have scored four or more goals against Congo DR, but it didn’t go their way. All Colombia needs against Portugal is a draw to win the group.

With Portugal needing a win to top Group K, I think they’ll push forward for goals. Each of these sides is among the best attacking teams in the tournament, so we could get a high-scoring game in this one.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see a 2-1 type of score line in this one, so take Both Teams to Score: Yes.

Congo DR/Uzbekistan Over 2.5 Goals: No (0.53¢ at Kalshi)

Congo DR needs a win over Uzbekistan if they’re to advance to the knockout stage. While Uzbekistan is eliminated, they should be motivated for a better effort to close out their tournament. Look for them to try to limit goals, as they allowed eight through two games. Manager Fabio Cannavaro will emphasize cleaning it up at the back for this one.

Even though Congo DR needs a win, they’re more of a defensive team. I think they’ll be able to get a win, but I’m not willing to pay the high price for that to happen.

With that in mind, taking Under 2.5 goals looks like the safer side.

Jordan Over 0.5 Goals: No (0.61¢ at Kalshi)

Argentina has nothing to play for here, having already locked up first place in Group J following wins over Algeria and Austria. However, I’m betting that they’ll want to keep their clean sheet streak, as they’ve yet to concede a goal in this tournament.

Jordan has been able to score two goals in two games, but Argentina is so organized and tough to break down. Even if Argentina rotates players here, there’s still enough to keep Jordan off the scoresheet.

While this is a bit expensive, it’s worth a look given how good Argentina is defensively.

Algeria/Austria Draw (0.45¢ at Kalshi)

Earlier this week, we saw Paraguay and Australia needing a draw for both to go through. So what happened? They played for a draw. It’s a similar situation with Algeria and Austria.

Both sides will lock in a place in the knockout rounds with a draw. Expect a conservative game plan with minimal scoring chances.

It wouldn’t shock me to see another 0-0 result in this one, just like we saw with Paraguay vs Australia. Even though it’s a bit of an inflated price compared to what we usually see with draws, I’m riding here. There’s no reason for either team to take any risks.

Not in a Legal Sports Betting State? Consider Prediction Markets

If legal online sportsbooks are unavailable in your jurisdiction, prediction markets provide another way to engage with sports outcomes. Rather than betting against a bookmaker at fixed odds, participants purchase and trade event contracts on an exchange-style marketplace. Contract prices move throughout the life of the market based on trading activity and changing expectations, reflecting the probability assigned to each outcome. Many platforms also let users close their positions before settlement, allowing them to secure gains or limit potential losses.

Sports-related prediction markets have expanded considerably in recent years. Platforms such as Kalshi, Polymarket, and Fanatics offer contracts on individual matchups, league champions, player awards, and numerous other sporting events. Depending on the operator, users can also access markets tied to politics, economic data, entertainment, and other major news events.

Prediction markets differ from traditional sportsbooks in both their structure and regulatory oversight. Instead of a sportsbook setting the odds, users trade with one another in a marketplace governed by a separate legal framework. Access varies by platform and location, so eligibility is not the same everywhere. Before registering or trading, review the platform’s terms of service and eligibility requirements to ensure it is available for use where you reside.
