After building a juggernaut of an offense last season, it disappointed. The Phillies still have a star studded depth chart, and added to it even more this offseason. Zack Wheeler was the big name added, as they hope to add to the rotation that struggled after Aaron Nola. Jake Arrieta’s form has fallen off, and that is a concern given the rest of the rotation isn’t in good shape to carry them. Philadelphia added Didi Gregorius this past offseason, which will shift to Jean Segura and put this middle infield in a good spot this season. Scott Kingery and Rhys Hoskins are two corner infielder bats with big upside. Andrew McCutchen will return from injury this offseason and while he is on the older side, it will give the Phillies a veteran bat. J.T. Realmuto rounds out this offense, and he is coming off of a very strong 2019 season.
