The Week 5 slate wraps up with a matchup that can rightfully be considered a potential early Super Bowl preview, despite some of the Rams’ struggles early in a season they entered with sky-high expectations.
The Bills suffered a wild loss to the Patriots in Week 4 that was the first blemish on their record this season, while the Rams evened their mark at 2-2 with an impressive come-from-behind win over the Eagles on the road.

Without further ado, let’s dive into three player props to consider for Monday Night Football action. Be sure to check out our NFL betting trends page for data and odds on every game.
Bills-Rams Best NFL Week 5 Player Props
- James Cook Over 9.5 Receiving Yards
- Kyren Williams Over 2.5 Receptions
- Davante Adams To Score A Touchdown
James Cook Over Receiving Yards
We’re spotlighting each team’s running back with our first two props, but we’re veering off the likeliest path with both. We begin with Cook, who certainly has impressed on the ground by averaging 6.0 yards per carry on his way to 421 rushing yards and three touchdowns. However, the stalented back has a stiff challenge ahead of him on that front Monday night.
The Rams have allowed 3.8 yards per carry and zero touchdowns to running backs through the first four games of the season. However, Los Angeles has also conceded a 19-103-0 receiving line to the position. Cook has been underuitlized as a receiver thus far with a modest 10 targets through two games, but he came into the season averaging 32.5 receptions for 293.5 receiving yards per season over his first four years in the league.
The Rams are likely to get star cornerback Jaylen Watson back from his shoulder injury for this game, and Los Angeles has surrendered a tiny 55.4% catch rate to wide receivers and an even stingier 41.4% figure to tight ends. Therefore, some more pass-catching work for Cook could very well be in the cards, and this yardage figure is about as low a bar as you’ll find.

Kyren Williams Over Receptions
We’ll move over to Williams, who seems to currently be back in a lead-ish role in the backfield after it seemed he’d be splitting a lot more work with Blake Corum earlier in the season. Williams has played 61 and 70 snaps the last two games, averaging a robust 23.5 touches per contest in that small sample.
The versatile veteran should be in store for another busy night Monday, but like Cook, Williams’ on-paper matchup on the ground isn’t the most inviting by any stretch. The Bills have been surprisingly tough against the run, holding running backs to 3.8 yards per carry as well. Buffalo have seen teams pivot to throwing the ball to their backs as an occasional substitute for a run play, however, as the Bills have also yielded a 21-162-3 receiving line on 31 targets to the position.
Williams has been especially busy as a receiver in the last two games, when he’s produced 16 catches for 137 yards on 20 targets over 67 routes run. Those are wide-receiver-worthy numbers, and while he may not approximate the same volume for a third straight game, he is 3-1 overall to the Over on the 2.5 this season.

Davante Adams To Score A Touchdown
It was fully expected Adams would see his opportunities take a hit to some degree once Puka Nacua returned to action, and fittingly, the former turned in a 4-32-0 line on nine targets with Nacua available in Week 4 and seeing 12 targets against Philadelphia. Nevertheless, Adams’ target tally was far from flimsy, and the veteran wideout will remain a critical piece of the gameplan each week.
We can have a bit of fun this week with a touchdown prop for Adams, who’s facing a Bills defense that’s tied with multiple teams for second-most touchdowns allowed to wide receivers (six). Adams has long been a valued red-zone asset, and althoug his only two 2026 touchdowns to date came in Week 2, he totaled 14 in his Rams debut campaign in 2025.
Adams’ chemistry with Matthew Stafford is therefore unquestioned, and Adams saw 32 red-zone targets from the reigning league MVP during the 2025 regular season. The Rams carry a very elevated implied team total of 29 points for Monday night, and going back to the start of last season, eight of Adams’ 16 regular-season touchdown catches have come on his home field of SoFi Stadium.
