Best Bet: U7 (-110) at DraftKings
Score Prediction: Dodgers 5, Braves 1
The Pick:
We’ll go Under the total based on Los Angeles’ recent trends along with head-to-head data.
Game Betting Analysis
It’s tough to take Atlanta here, despite all the data pouring into the underdog but the pitching mess is too real to get behind for the Braves. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are set with their rotation as now Blake Snell takes the mound against what is likely another bullpen deployment from Atlanta. So while all the data suggests Atlanta takes Game 2, we made that mistake in Game 1 already. We’ll go Under with the Dodgers hitting the Under in seven of eight games, along with three of four meeting with the Braves.

Deciding Factor: Atlanta’s Pitching Crisis vs. Blake Snell’s Swing-and-Miss Stuff
Down 0-1 after a 5-3 Game 1 loss, the Braves still don’t know who’s pitching Game 2 — and that uncertainty alone tells you how much trouble Atlanta is in. Chris Sale has already thrown 116 total pitches across two outings in the last six days (6⅓ innings Tuesday, the final four outs Thursday), and manager Walt Weiss admitted the call comes down to how the 37-year-old feels on game day: “We still haven’t decided yet. We’ll have some conversations about this.” If Sale can’t go, the fallback is Grant Holmes, who already threw 28 pitches in relief Thursday, or an improvised bullpen game — not exactly the recipe to face a Dodgers lineup that got home runs from three different hitters (Teoscar Hernández, Kyle Tucker, Max Muncy) in Game 1 even with Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman all held in check.
On the other side, Blake Snell gives Los Angeles a real weapon regardless of how banged-up Atlanta’s staff is: his 11.6 strikeouts per nine innings ranks 6th among all qualified MLB starters, and he was dominant in October a year ago, posting a 0.86 ERA across three NLCS starts (even though he scuffled in the World Series). Snell made just nine regular-season starts this year while managing shoulder fatigue and recovering from elbow surgery, but he came out of his final tune-up and the bye week feeling good. With Atlanta’s bullpen already taxed from a Wild Card Series grind and a starter who may be a game-day decision, the Braves need their offense — led by Ronald Acuña Jr. and Ozzie Albies, who provided the late spark in Game 1 — to carry a heavier load than usual just to keep this one close.
