The Buccaneers fell to 0-4 in Week 4 courtesy of a narrow loss to Green Bay with Jalon Daniels at the helm of the offense, while the Cowboys atoned for a heartbreaking Week 3 defeat in Rio by upending the Texans on the road.

The two squads now meet on a short week for a Thursday Night Football clash at AT&T Stadium, where Dallas has split its first two games this season.

Buccaneers-Cowboys Best NFL Week 5 Player Props

  • Bucky Irving Over 12.5 Rush Attempts
  • Jake Ferguson Over 24.5 Receiving Yards
  • Javonte Williams Over 14.5 Receiving Yards

Bucky Irving Over Rush Attempts

With Rachaad White now in the nation’s capital, Irving has opened the season as the Buccaneers’ clear-cut lead back, even though that role has yet to lead to a 20-carry game. However, that’s been partly the byproduct of Tampa Bay getting caught in some negative game scripts on occasion during its winless start. Irving still has carry totals of between 15 and 7 over the last three contests, including 16 in Daniels’ starting debut against the Packers in Week 4.

The Bucs do figure to have to be aggressive through the air to an extent to have a chance at remaining competitive against Dak Prescott and his high-powered weapons. However, Tampa Bay also figures to try and establish the run early in an effort to help its rookie signal-caller, and to keep Prescott off the field in the process. A 13-carry tally at minimum is very feasible for Irving, who went 9-1 to the Over on this prop in 2025 in addition to being 3-1 this year.

Dallas ranks just inside the top 10 in the league in rush attempts faced (97) through four games, and the Cowboys are facing an NFC-high 51.4% rush play rate as well.

Jake Ferguson Over Receiving Yards

This is a modest yardage prop for a player of Ferguson’s caliber, especially against a Todd Bowles defense that has traditionally given up plenty of middle-of-the-field production to tight ends. Ferguson has opened the season with a bit of uneven production – he’s recorded yardage totals of six, 43, 23 and 11 – but the veteran tight end has unquestioned chemistry with Prescott and could be the beneficiary of extra attention being heaped on CeeDee Lamb following his otherworldly Week 4 performance.

Ferguson went 10-7 to the Over on this prop in 2025 while falling just short in another game with 23 yards. Additionally, the Buccaneers gave up a 6-40-0 receiving line to Ferguson in a Week 16 meeting in 2024, and Tampa Bay has allowed 10.5 yards per catch and 68.3 receiving yards per game to tight ends over the first four games of the campaign.

It’s also worth noting Ferguson’s routes have been at their highest point yet this season over the last two games, as he’s run 30 and 34 in that pair of contests.

Original Line: 24.5

Javonte Williams Over Receiving Yards

Williams has quickly proven his breakout 2025 season was no fluke, as he’s amassed 308 total scrimmage yards and six total touchdowns over his first four games. Williams is seeing his customary lead-back workload on the ground as game script allows, but with Dallas involved in some high-scoring games already, he’s also enjoyed a very steady role as a receiver.

Williams has drawn 17 targets and converted them into a 15-77-1 receiving line, while already running 98 routes on the season. He’s also boasting a stellar 88.2% catch rate, and he’s recorded 20 or more receiving yards in three of the first four games of the campaign. Williams now faces a Buccaneers defense that’s typically stingy against the run while allowing the third-fewest running back yards (250) and doing so at just 3.3 yards per carry.

Consequently, teams will often see fit to substitute the short pass for the run against the Bucs, and Tampa Bay is according tied for the sixth-most running back targets faced through four games (28). What’s more, backs have converted almost single one into a catch, as the position boasts a 25-161-0 receiving line vs. the Buccaneers, an average of 40.3 receiving yards per game.
