Week 6 concludes with an NFC matchup on Monday Night Football as the Commanders head west to take on the undefeated 49ers. Kyle Shanahan’s squad has dominated at Levi’s Stadium this season, outscoring visiting opponents 95-57 across their first three home games. Washington arrives at their first primetime spot of the season at 1-3-1, having tied their most recent game against NFC East rival New York Giants.

👑 Brock Purdy, SF/QB/MVP ($16,200)

Our captain spot for Monday Night Football belongs to 49ers QB Brock Purdy. The fifth-year man has been instrumental to San Francisco’s perfect start, leading all QBs with 13 passing TDs and just 2 INTs. His 119.3 passer rating sits just 0.3 points behind league leader Lamar Jackson, and his efficiency and game management have been central to Shanahan’s early-season success. He enters the primetime spot with some injury designations among his main targets, though the 49ers’ depth should allow the 26-year-old to keep thriving as heavy favorites.

Purdy faces a Commanders secondary that has struggled badly through the first five weeks. Dan Quinn’s defense allows the 29th-most passing yards per game (255.0) and ranks 30th in passing TDs allowed (2.8 per game). Four of the first five QBs to face this defense have scored 24 or more fantasy points, and Purdy should have no trouble extending that trend. Monday’s implied total sits at 51.5 points, suggesting the 49ers offense, led by Purdy, will have no shortage of opportunities.

George Kittle, SF/TE ($8,200)

Despite tearing his Achilles earlier this calendar year, 49ers TE George Kittle has opened his 10th professional season like the injury never happened. The 33-year-old leads all TEs with 4 TDs through five weeks and now has 21 catches on the season after a five-reception day against the Seahawks last week. He ranks second on the team with a 20.4% overall target share and ties for the team lead with 22.2% in the red zone, catching five of his six looks inside the 20 and turning them into three TDs.

He gets an exciting matchup against a Commanders secondary that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to TEs this season. With WR Deebo Samuel ruled out with a hamstring injury, Kittle should have even more room to operate in the short and intermediate passing game. Despite his run-blocking responsibilities, Kittle ran routes on 85% of snaps against the defending Super Bowl champions last week and will remain a featured weapon in the passing game. Washington’s 31st-ranked defensive pass DVOA against TEs suggests Kittle’s hot start to the season will continue on Monday night.

Eddy Pineiro, SF/K ($5,200)

After a nearly perfect kicking campaign in 2025-26, Piñeiro’s accuracy has dipped slightly to open this season, though the small sample size is not a major concern heading into Week 6. All three misses have come from 50-plus yards, and his numbers should settle as the season progresses, given he has attempted just eight FGs. The high implied total for Monday night suggests Piñeiro will be called upon multiple times against Washington, and with his team averaging over 30 PPG, a large portion of that 51.5-point total should belong to San Francisco.

Despite the long-range struggles, Piñeiro has consistently converted extra points as his offense marches down the field efficiently. His 89.5% conversion rate on extra points matches last season’s mark, and he should have no trouble producing at Levi’s Stadium, where he has converted at a 90-plus percent clip on both FGs and extra points throughout his career.

Rachaad White, WAS/RB ($6,600)

Veteran RB Rachaad White steps into the lead back role for the Commanders with Jacory Croskey-Merritt set to miss Monday’s game with a groin injury. White signed with Washington in free agency and has primarily served as a late-down back with limited opportunities. The former Buccaneer will be running behind an offensive line that has struggled to generate movement in the run game through five weeks, but his volume and versatility give him some upside in this spot.

White has long been one of the better pass-catching RBs in the league and will have his first real opportunity to showcase that on Monday. The Commanders are expected to play from behind in this one, making White an ideal outlet option for QB Jayden Daniels in the flat and on screens. No team has allowed more receptions to RBs than the 49ers, and White should see a steady flow of targets alongside his rushing workload as the team’s lead back.

Brandin Cooks, SF/WR ($4,000)

Veteran WR Brandin Cooks is an intriguing budget option with Samuel ruled out on Monday. The 13-year veteran was promoted from San Francisco’s practice squad earlier this season and has now played in two games for his seventh NFL team. His first reception as a 49er came last week — a seven-yard TD against the Seahawks — and with Monday marking his third game in the system and the key injuries at the position, expect his involvement to grow.

The 33-year-old still has the speed to stretch defenses and remains a capable playmaker for Purdy on the outside. He played 40% of the team’s snaps in last week’s win and should see a steady uptick as he becomes more comfortable in this offense. With Samuel out and the other options at the position lacking experience, look for Purdy to continue building rapport with his new veteran wideout on Monday night.

Mike Evans, SF/WR ($9,600)

Cooks’ value could skyrocket even further depending on the availability of the final member of our lineup, WR Mike Evans. The high-profile offseason addition has had a promising start to his San Francisco tenure but arrives at Week 6 with two injury designations—ribs and Achilles—and is questionable after missing all of practice this week. The extra day of rest from a Monday game could affect his availability, and the 49ers will be hoping to have their leading receiving threat available, given how vulnerable the Washington secondary has looked.

The former Buccaneer leads the team in receiving yards (326) and receptions (24) while ranking second in TDs (3) behind Kittle. He and Kittle are tied with six red-zone targets each this season.

The 33-year-old has led the team in targets through five weeks and saw a season-high 10 in last week’s win, finishing with 7 receptions for 113 yards and a TD against the league’s top-ranked pass defense. He should have no trouble dominating the Commanders if cleared to play. Samuel’s absence would provide an additional boost, though Evans has consistently commanded a heavy target share regardless of who else is healthy—six or more looks in four of his first five games for San Francisco —and produces at a high level when the ball finds him.
