This week’s Sunday Night Football clash pits two legacy franchises in the Cowboys and Packers in an important early-season game for both clubs.
Both Dallas and Green Bay have had a bit of a rollercoaster start to their respective seasons, but it’s the Lambeau Field denizens that are coming in with a two-game winning streak.

Without further ado, let’s dive into three player props to consider for Sunday night’s action. Don’t forget to check out our NFL betting trends page for game data and insights on the week ahead.
Cowboys-Packers Best NFL Week 6 Player Props
- Javonte Williams Over 16.5 Rush Attempts
- Jordan Love Over 21.5 Completions
- Christian Watson Over 72.5 Receiving Yards
Javonte Williams Over Rush Attempts
One constant for an inconsistent Cowboys team has been Williams, who’s the unquestioned workhorse back in Dallas and who’s amply capable of contributing as both runner and receiver. The versatile veteran has accumulated 370 total scrimmage yards on 91 touches through five games, and he should be in store for another solid workload this week.
The Cowboys’ offensive-line woes have capped the veteran back’s efficiency on the ground, but the Packers are tied for the seventh-most rush attempts faced from running backs (123). Green Bay is allowing a not-awful 4.1 yards per carry to the position in the process, a respectable number but not one that necessarily discourages teams from trying to run a balanced attack.
Williams faces barely any competition for touches in Dallas’ backfield and has a pair of 19-carry tallies within his last three games. This game carries a projected total of 53 points and the Packers are favored by just 1.5 points, so game script shouldn’t be an issue whatsoever in terms of Williams having a solid path to at least 17 carries against a team that’s also facilitating the sixth-most opponent plays per game (65.6).

Jordan Love Over Completions
Having just highlighted the elevated offensive expectations for this game, we turn our focus to Love and his completions prop. The veteran quarterback’s yardage production has definitely had some ups and downs over the first five weeks, as Love has interspersed a pair of sub-200-yard tallies alongside a trio of 300-yard efforts.
Love has averaged 22.4 completions per game overall, posting 21 or more completions in four of the first five contests. He’s now facing a Cowboys team that’s surrendered 22.4 completions per game as a byproduct of conceding a 72.5% completion rate to quarterbacks. Dallas has faced a 56.7% pass play rate overall, while Green Bay, in no small part due to its significant struggles running the ball effectively, has passed at an NFL-high 66.3% clip, including 71.3% at home.
While Dallas has been targeted more frequently on the ground by opponents, the Pack is a good candidate to serve as an exception to the early-season rule Sunday night in what oddsmakers are projecting as a high-scoring, close game.
Original Line: 21.5
Christian Watson Over Receiving Yards
It’s always prudent to try to weave a story of how a game will play out through multiple props, and that serves as the foundation for Watson’s bet. The speedy veteran checks into the contest already riding a wave of strong production, as Watson already has a pair of 140-plus-yard tallies this season and a 96-yard effort as well in the first five games of the season.
The Cowboys have surrendered an elevated 14.0 yards per reception to wide receivers. Therefore, on paper, the matchup is a very enticing one for a wideout who’s averaging a career-high 11.9 yards per target and 18.2 yards per catch, the latter qualifying as the second-highest figure of Watson’s career. Watson has taken eight of his first 26 catches – over 30% of his reception tally – for 20+ yards as well, including three for 40 yards or more.
As already noted in Love’s entry, the Packers are passing at a very high rate, and Watson is laying claim to 32.3% of Green Bay’s air yards and seeing a target on 25.2% of his routes. Watson is also averaging a career-high 2.98 yards per route run, furthering his case.
