Best Bet: O56.5 (-108) at DraftKings

Score Prediction: Georgia 34, Florida 23

The Pick: Georgia 34, Florida 23

We’ll take the Over based on head-to-head data, and Georgia’s 2026 betting stats.

Game Betting Analysis

Of the popular markets, the total has the most conviction behind it as the ATS market has some crossing data points that are difficult to nail down. Beginning with the spread, Florida has scored three of four meetings, all as the underdog which will be the case again on Saturday. However, Georgia is entering with a solid 5-2 ATS mark on the season along with covering the spread in seven of eight games when facing an AP ranked school in October and as a favorite. So we move to the total where the Over has hit in three of four meetings. Pair that with Georgia hitting the Over in its last seven games as a favorite, and a 6-1 O/U record in 2026 – we have more than enough data to have stronger conviction in the total than we do the spread. It’s also worth noting Florida has scored exactly 20 points in the last four meetings.

Deciding Factor: Tramell Jones Jr.’s Statement Game vs. Gunner Stockton’s Turnover Problem

Florida arrives at No. 17 nationally and 5-2 overall, riding the signature result of Jon Sumrall’s first season: a 27-24 road upset of then-No. 7 Texas that doubled as Tramell Jones Jr.’s first career start. Jones went 22-of-35 for 155 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, adding 41 rushing yards on 10 carries, becoming the first Florida quarterback to win a true road start against a top-10 opponent since Jesse Palmer in 1997. That performance has turned Florida’s quarterback spot into a genuine competition — Aaron Philo, who hurt his throwing shoulder in an Oct. 10 loss to South Carolina and missed the Texas game, has returned to practice and been splitting first-team reps, but Sumrall said this week “I think we can win with either guy” and may not name a starter before kickoff. Whichever quarterback plays, Florida gets a dual-threat option who just delivered one of the biggest wins of Sumrall’s tenure, with leading receiver Vernell Brown III (17 catches, 271 yards, two touchdowns, plus two punt-return scores) also trending back after missing three games with a knee sprain.

The Georgia Bulldogs, meanwhile, are still absorbing a reminder of their own fragility. Unanimous No. 1 and 6-0 just two weeks ago, Georgia fell to Auburn 27-24 on a last-second field goal in a game defined by Gunner Stockton’s three turnovers — two interceptions and a fumble on the final offensive snap — after he’d thrown only two picks combined across the season’s first six games. Stockton finished that game 22-of-34 for 272 yards and two touchdowns, but the giveaways overshadowed the production, and he’s since been managing a shoulder stinger from the loss (no concussion, per Kirby Smart) that the bye week was used to help heal. He’ll also be without a full complement of weapons: receiver Isiah Canion (right leg) hasn’t played since Georgia’s third game, Thomas Blackshear (shoulder) has missed the last two, lead back Chauncey Bowens (lower leg) hasn’t suited up since Oct. 3, and safety KJ Bolden is still working back from a walking boot on defense. If Stockton protects the ball the way he did for six weeks before Auburn, Georgia’s overall talent and No. 3 ranking should be enough; but another careless, turnover-prone outing against a Florida team playing loose off its biggest win of the year could hand the Gators a second straight marquee upset.
