The Jacksonville Jaguars head into the 2026-27 season coming off a stellar 2025-26. Last season was the team’s first under new head coach Liam Coen. They went 13-4, won the AFC South, but ultimately lost at home in the Wild Card round to the Buffalo Bills, 27-24. This season, they’ll hope to see better play from former first-round pick and wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. They’ll also have a full season of Jakobi Meyers, whom they acquired via trade last season.

In free agency, they did lose some notable players. These include linebacker Devin Lloyd, running back Travis Etienne, and cornerback Greg Newsome. Taking all of these factors and more into consideration, I’ll examine the team’s odds to win the Super Bowl, AFC South, AFC title game, and more.

2026 Jacksonville Jaguars Super Bowl Odds

The Jaguars are sitting at +3000 at the time of this overview to win the Super Bowl and are behind another team in their division, the Houston Texans (+1800). While they did lose Etienne, they’ll aim to replace him with a committee of backs such as Bhayshul Tuten, Chris Rodriguez, and LeQuint Allent Jr.

One of my biggest issues with the Jaguars this offseason was their draft. Following the draft, I gave them a D+. They took a nice guard prospect in Emmanuel Pregnon, but reached quite a bit on tight end Nate Boerkircher in the second round. He will certainly be able to block, but his lack of college production is concerning. All in all, the Jaguars will mostly be the same team in 2026-27. I wonder how much better Lawrence can play after scoring 38 total touchdowns.

They have the benefit of being in Coen’s system for another season, but I’ll pass on the Super Bowl.

2026 Jacksonville Jaguars AFC Championship Odds

The Jaguars hung in there and played tough against the Bills in the Wild Card round, but ultimately lost. I mention this game specifically because the Bills are a likely opponent in the playoffs once again, and they only got better, while the Jaguars remained mostly status quo. That is true, but this is still a team with a top-10 (or even better) offense and a defense that pressured opposing quarterbacks. Last season, the Jaguars ranked fourth in pressures with 200. They did lose Lloyd, but he only accounted for 25 of those. I believe this is a Wild Card team, but they won’t make the AFC Championship.

Bet: No

2026 Jacksonville Jaguars AFC South Odds

In my overview of the Texans, I went back and forth on the AFC South. For a value perspective, I’m interested in the Jaguars at +245. While they stayed mostly the same, I do believe they have a better offense than the Texans. However, the Jaguars will still need to contend with the Texans’ defense, which is perhaps the best in the league. Still, given the value, the Jaguars’ offense, their pressure rate, and the Texans having a fairly hard schedule, I wouldn’t be opposed to wagering on the Jaguars to win the AFC South.

Bet: Yes

2026 Jacksonville Jaguars Win Total Odds

The Jaguars have a win total line of 8.5 with the over at -140. When I think of the Jaguars this season, there’s another player that comes to mind that hasn’t been brought up yet: Travis Hunter. Last we heard, Hunter will primarily be a cornerback, with some wide receiver packages mixed in. Given their trio of Thomas Jr., Meyers, and Parker Washington, that makes sense.

Across 120 coverage snaps last season, Hunter allowed nine catches on 15 targets for 96 yards, no touchdowns, and had two pass breakups. He’ll be in a tandem with fellow cornerback Montaric Brown, who allowed three touchdowns, had two interceptions, and also nine pass breakups last season. A full season of Hunter primarily at cornerback could certainly change things for this defense. That, coupled with this offense? I’ll take the Over if it drops, but -145 is a tad too high to test.

Bet: No

2026 Jacksonville Jaguars To Make The Playoffs Odds

When it comes to their strength of schedule, the Jaguars are sitting middle of the pack. Some key teams that have “easier” schedules than them (on paper) include the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and more. They’ll certainly have more teams to overcome, especially the Bengals from the AFC North. According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Bengals have the third-easiest schedule in the NFL. Still, I trust this offense and believe the defense can still bring pressure. At “+” odds, I’d take the chance. The Jaguars are a quality football team. I wish they did more this offseason, but Lawrence will still play playoff-caliber football.

2026 Jacksonville Jaguars MVP Award Odds & Contenders

  • Trevor Lawrence

Last season, Lawrence finished fifth in MVP voting. He threw for 4,007 yards, 29 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and ran for 359 yards and nine touchdowns. The nine touchdowns are certainly somewhat of an outlier, though, as he had 14 over the four years prior. Under Coen, Lawrence had one of his best seasons, though his completion percentage was under 61%. That said, there’s a reality where Lawrence has Thomas Jr. back to playing the type of football we saw from him as a rookie, and he has a trio of receivers that allow him to get into the 4,500-yard territory and approach 35-40 touchdowns.

This isn’t something I’d wager on, but it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility.

Bet: No
