While it’s expected to be rainy in this game, the total remains high at 50.5, so I’m not too concerned about the weather forecast. It’s the ideal game environment for touchdown props, so we have a lot of options to choose from. For this article, I’m rolling with a disappointing wide receiver and a veteran tight end for our touchdown props.

Jameson Williams Touchdown Odds

Jameson Williams came into the season with high expectations. After all, he’s an explosive wideout coming off a 1,117-yard, seven-touchdown season. So far this year, it’s been a slow start, as Jamo has been held below 50 yards in all three games, yet to find the end zone.

But this game sets up as a potential spike week for Williams. Not only is it a projected shootout with a 50.5-point total, but the Panthers are also depleted in the secondary. They’re missing both of their starting corners, Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson. They already were at the bottom of the league in run defense. Now, they’ll have a tough time stopping the pass as well.

With the Panthers trying to keep Jahmyr Gibbs from explosive plays, that can set up a deep shot to Jamo downfield, potentially resulting in a touchdown. We can get Williams to score a touchdown at +200 odds, which looks like a nice value considering the projected game environment and exploitable matchup.

Darren Waller Touchdown Odds

Darren Waller showed that he still has something left in the tank when he came out of retirement to play for the Dolphins last year. He’s continuing to do so with the Panthers, putting up 112 yards and two touchdowns so far. We saw him get eight targets last game, so it’s clear that he has a cemented role in this offense.

What’s surprising about the Panthers this year is how pass-heavy they’ve been. Bryce Young is averaging 313.0 passing yards per game. With both starting corners out, expect Young to continue airing it out to keep pace with the Lions, which bodes well for Waller.

On top of that, the Lions have been torched by tight ends so far. We’ve seen Juwan Johnson (54 yards, 1 TD), Dalton Kincaid (95 yards, 1 TD), and Kenyon Sadiq (105 yards, 1 TD) have big games against them.

We can get Waller to score a touchdown at +260 odds here, making him a nice value considering the circumstances.
