Best NBA Friday Props

  • Nickeil Alexander-Walker Over 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
  • Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 23.5 Points + Rebounds
  • Darius Garland Over 22.5 Points

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Hawks vs. Hornets) Over Points + Rebounds + Assists

Alexander-Walker is thought to be on the verge of superstardom as he begins his second season in Atlanta, and first full one without Trae Young. If Wednesday’s season-opening win over the Magic is any indication, NAW Is going to be making good on that prediction, as the veteran guard looked highly capable of putting the Hawks on his shoulders. Alexander-Walker finished with 38 points + rebounds + assists in just 30 minutes while shooting 8-for-15 from the floor, including 5-for-8 from distance.

NAW should be in line for similar usage throughout the season as he serves as one of the Hawks’ most important sources of offense, and Friday’s game shouldn’t be any exception to that rule. Walker will face a short-handed Hornets backcourt that will remain without Coby White (calf) and Kon Knueppel (hamstring). Alexander-Walker had a pair of particularly big games against Charlotte last season as well, recording points + rebounds + assists tallies of 32 and 38 in two out of four contests.

Original Line Publish: 24.5

Jaren Jackson Jr. (Jazz vs. Pelicans) Over Points + Rebounds

Jackson had a reasonably productive opening game of the season but fell victim to the ref’s whistle, fouling out after 28 minutes after posting 20 points + rebounds and adding two assists, two blocks and one steal. Jackson shot a crisp 60%, including 50% from three-point range, and he was steadily involved as both a scorer and rebounder.

We’re going back to the well with the versatile big man again in Friday’s matchup against a Pelicans team that should do its part to keep the game fast-paced and high scoring. Jackson has averaged 24.4 points + rebounds per game in his career against the Pelicans, a robust 26-game sample. Jackson has also hit the Over on this prop against New Orleans in nine straight, dating back to December 2023.

Original Line Publish: 23.5

Darius Garland (Clippers vs. Lakers) Over Points

Garland is in line to see some major usage this season, his first full campaign in Los Angeles. Kawhi Leonard is in Toronto and both Brandon Ingram (Achilles) and Bradley Beal (knee) are without definitive return timetables. That leaves Garland as the Clippers’ most explosive offensive weapon by a pretty healthy margin, and in the opener against the Kings, the veteran guard fully delivered on that title by accruing 30 points in 32 minutes on 11-for-19 shooting.

That makes Friday’s points prop a reasonable one in a showdown against the Lakers. The Lakers gave up 23 points to Stephen Curry to open the season, and the amount of opportunity and shot attempts that Garland should see makes him a strong candidate to get to at least 23 points. Garland averaged 19.9 points on 47.4% shooting in 20 games with the Clippers last season after coming over in the trade from the Cavaliers, and that was in a more modest role than the one he currently holds.
