Best NBA Thursday Props
- Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
- Donovan Mitchell Over 2.5 3-Pointers Made
- DeMar DeRozan Over 19.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Tyrese Maxey (76ers vs. Cavaliers) Over Points + Rebounds + Assists
Maxey immediately clicked with his new superstar teammates in Tuesday’s season opener against the defending champion Knicks, scoring a team-high 28 points despite going just 2-for-9 from three-point range and adding five assists, four rebounds, three steals and three blocks in a stellar all-around performance. Maxey encouragingly took 19 shots despite sharing the floor with several high-usage assets, and he got to the line on nine occasions as well.
Within the context of that season-opening performance, Maxey’s prop is very achievable. The star guard will face a Cavaliers squad that he went 2-1 to the Over on 29.5 PRA against last season, and he’ll be doing so without Cleveland having the luxury of focusing heavy defensive resources on him. Maxey averaged 37.0 points + rebounds + assists across 41 regular-season and postseason home games in 2025-26, furthering his case for the Over in Thursday’s marquee matchup.

Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers vs. 76ers) Over 3-Pointers Made
Mitchell recommitted to the quest of bringing the Cavaliers another championship when he inked a $273 million extension this offseason, and he should be set for high usage right out of the gate in what should be a highly competitive game. Mitchell was as aggressive as ever last season, averaging 8.8 3-point attempts per contest and draining them at a solid 36.4% clip.
Mitchell came up empty on two three-point attempts against the Sixers in his fourth and final regular-season meeting with them last season, but prior to that, he racked up 15 made threes on 30 attempts across his first three games versus Philadelphia. The Sixers also surrendered the fourth-highest three-point shooting percentage of any team on its home floor last season and postseason (37.4%), as well as the third-most made threes per game in that split (14.3).
Mitchell drained at least a trio of treys on 52 occasions last regular-season and postseason, adding further fuel to this prop.

DeMar DeRozan (Nuggets vs. Thunder) Over Points + Rebounds + Assists
It will be interesting to see how DeRozan fits with the Nuggets, and the accomplished veteran could well prove to be the missing piece for a talented Denver squad that’s still spearheaded by Nikola Jokic. DeRozan will open the season on the second unit, so asking him to approximate the 25.4 points + rebounds + assists per game he generated as a starter in Sacramento is likely not realistic.
Nevertheless, this is a figure DeRozan is certainly capable of eclipsing in a higher-volume second-unit capacity. The ability to potentially avoid some of the stifling defense played by the Thunder’s first unit will also be a bonus, and even while playing as a starter in Sacramento last season, DeRozan averaged 24.4 points + rebounds + assists across 32.3 minutes per contest in three games against OKC, shooting a solid 46.2 percent in the process. With less pressure than he had on him as a starter and the chance to potentially face some lower-caliber defense, DeRozan’s PRA prop is in play.
