Week 6 kicks off with two of the finalists in last year’s playoffs facing off in the Mile High City. The Broncos host the reigning Super Bowl Champions at Empower Field with both squads arriving to the primetime matchup with a 3-2 record. 👑 Jaxon Smith-Njigba, SEA/WR/MVP ($17,400)

After solidifying himself as one of the league’s best WRs during Seattle’s Super Bowl-winning run, Jaxon Smith-Njigba hasn’t lost a step heading into his fourth season in the Emerald City. The 24-year-old leads the league in receiving yards (583), receiving TDs (7), and YAC (185), despite injuries and subpar play at QB. The former Ohio State standout continues to produce despite his team’s struggles, and is almost a must-play at the captain’s position with how inconsistent both offenses have been this season.

He will have a difficult matchup against a Denver secondary that ranks within the top-10 against the pass. Led by All-Pro Patrick Surtain II, the Broncos allow just 202.2 passing yards per game, but have allowed seven TDs through the air through five weeks. Even so, JSN’s elite 34% target share overall and 50% target share in the red zone keep him among the best fantasy WRs, if not the best, despite the attention he attracts.

J.K. Dobbins, DEN/RB ($8,400)

Veteran RB J.K. Dobbins has been a bright spot in a fairly underwhelming Broncos offense this season. The former Ravens’ draft pick has struggled with injuries throughout his career, but has excelled playing as a primary piece in a committee system. He now has 64 carries this season and has played 41.9% of the Broncos’ offensive snaps. Denver may struggle to move the ball against an elite Seattle defense, but Dobbins’ workload heading into Thursday makes him a promising option for your lineup.

The 27-year-old got his most carries (18) this season in Sunday’s win, finishing with 68 yards on the ground and a TD. Dobbins also dominates red-zone touches for his club, and had four alone just last week. He now has 10 red-zone carries on the season, with QB Bo Nix second-closest on the squad with 4 carries near the goal line this season. Look for the Broncos to try to establish the run game against the Super Bowl Champions, and for Dobbins to keep building as his workload grows.

Seahawks D/ST ($5,200)

We mentioned the elite Seahawks defense in the previous section, and the Super Bowl-winning squad will likely play a big role in this matchup with how poor the offense has looked. Seattle’s secondary allows a league-low 150.8 passing yards per game and leads the league with 2.2 takeaways per contest. They now face a favorable matchup against a Denver offense that ranks 30th, averaging only 269 yards of offense per game.

The Seahawks will look to feast on the Broncos’ offense, which has struggled to find consistency in moving the ball. Nix finished Sunday’s win with just 123 yards through the air, and now faces arguably the best secondary in the league. It would not come as a surprise to see Seattle come away with a couple of turnovers against a Denver side that is averaging 1.2 per game, and forced two INTs by Nix in his first career start in 2024.

Jason Myers, SEA/K ($5,000)

Jason Myers remains one of the Seahawks’ most valuable players and a luxury to have with their offense struggling to score consistently. The 35-year-old comes into Thursday after a 5-FG performance on Sunday, and is now 10/10 on the season. Seattle’s kicker has missed one extra point, but is as close to automatic at the position as any.

Seattle’s offense continues to struggle to finish drives and stalls in its opponent’s half of the field. They rank 17th in red-zone efficiency, converting 57.89% of their trips near the goal line. Last week was a perfect example of their deficiencies: they scored just 2 TDs to their 5 FGs. Look for Myers to be heavily called upon again against a Denver defense that ranks 11th in red-zone defense.

Emanuel Wilson, SEA/RB ($9,400)

Veteran RB Emanuel Wilson has stepped into the RB1 role after rookie Jadarain Price was placed on IR. The former Packer excelled in his new spot last Sunday, and now has back-to-back games with 20 or more carries coming into the primetime matchup. While many wondered which Seahawks backup would step into the lead role, Wilson played 59% of Seattle’s offensive snaps and seems to be Mike Macdonald’s primary option going forward.

Wilson will have a favorable matchup against a Denver defense that ranks 29th in the NFL. They allow 145.2 rushing yards per game and now face a tough runner in Wilson, who has rushed for 142 yards combined over the last two games. The 27-year-old has also been involved in the passing game, catching 3 passes for 39 yards last week. Denver’s defense allowing 4.3 yards per carry bodes well for Wilson, who should once again see another high-volume day as the lead back.

AJ Barner, SEA/TE ($4,200)

Finally, Seahawks young TE AJ Barner rounds out our lineup despite a fairly underwhelming start to his third season in Seattle. The 24-year-old has 12 receptions on the season after his three-catch day on Sunday, and has managed just 122 yards through the air through five weeks. Even with those numbers, the deeper stats suggest Barner could be in for a breakout week any time now. Barner ranks second on the team behind JSN with a 14.1% target share.

His target share drops a bit near the goal line, at 13.6% in the red zone, though the young TE has brought down one TD this season. He continues to serve as a safety blanket for QB Sam Darnold and will keep getting steady targets, with the attention JSN requires.
