2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson: Top DraftKings Showdown Plays & Live Bets Ahead of Round 4

The 2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson heads to the final round with fireworks in store. It’s a star-studded top of the leaderboard with Si Woo Kim holding a 2-stroke lead over Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark.

Looking ahead, we have new data at our disposal to adjust our approach in DFS formats before Round 4 gets underway on Sunday. Conditions have been wet and rainy thus far, and that should continue as the week goes on. Ahead, we’ll look to identify the players who have shown they are most due for a Round 4 breakout.

Take a look at some of the best pillar players for PGA Championship DFS contests and live betting opportunities.

DraftKings Showdown Golf Strategy

DraftKings Golf Showdown Golf is a one-round Daily Fantasy format in which players aim to construct the best-scoring one-round lineup while staying within the allotted salary cap. To identify value in Golf Showdown, it’s typically best to focus on buy-low opportunities on players who’ve shown uncharacteristically poor putting in the prior round. There is also an opportunity to find leverage by identifying favorable weather splits and players who are more likely to card birdies-or-better.

Round 4 PGA Championship Showdown Pillar Plays

At the 2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson, the opening rounds have helped answer some open questions about how the new-look TPC Craig Ranch would look post-renovation. The answer? Exactly the same as the old one. In soft conditions, TPC Craig Ranch’s wide Zoysia fairways continue to be an easy target for the field at large, creating a birdie-fest for the best approach players with the hottest putters.

Identifying value players who check each of these boxes can provide valuable bonus points in the DraftKings Showdown format. The three players below will be foundational plays in my Round 4 Showdown lineups for these reasons.

Scottie Schefffler ($14,300)

$14,300 is a steep price to play, but a great final round from the World No. 1 feels like an inevitability with everything he’s shown us at this event over the years. The defending champion is now just two strokes behind Si Woo Kim’s lead. Kim has struggled to convert Sunday leads into victories this season, so the choice to roster Scheffler at this price is a bet on him catching Si Woo and winning this event outright.

Scheffler has been excellent all-around at TPC Craig Ranch as per usual. He ranks top-10 in SG: T2G, SG: APP, and SG: P. If the irons and putting remain up to his standard, his presence will be felt by the contenders who surround him on Sunday. I believe this tournament is his to lose going into the final round.

Blades Brown ($9,000)

Blades Brown did not make my card pre-tournament, but he’s been a feature in my live, post-round articles every single day this week. Brown continues to settle into his own, sitting T12 on the leaderboard at -14. A win is out of reach at this point for Brown, but he needs to keep the pedal down to ensure he finishes inside the top-20 and secures temporary PGA Tour membership for the rest of the 2026 season.

Brown continued his strong play into Saturday, where he fired a round of 6 under par and ranked 2nd in the field in SG: APP. Brown ranked top-15 in Birdies of Better Gained and SG: TOT (Easy Scoring Conditions) leading into this week, and looks very comfortable finding birdies on TPC Craig Ranch’s easy course conditions.

Jackson Suber ($7,300)

Jackson Suber is a young, raw talent who has flashed his ball-striking upside sporadically in 2026, but failed to piece it all together for four rounds. This seems to be his breakout week, however, as he’s maintained consistent ball striking form throughout his first three rounds and ranks No. 1 overall in SG: APP this week. In addition, he also ranks 2nd in SG: Ball Striking, and 9th in SG: T2G.

Heading into Sunday, Suber is positioned T8 at 15 under par. He has a very outside chance of catching Si Woo Kim to win this tournament, but at $7,300 he is the cheapest available player with legitimate top-5 upside.

Live Bets To Consider Entering Round 4

Round 4 Matchup: Rasmus Hojgaard over Jordan Smith

Best Available odds: -122

Hojgaard is the more accomplished veteran in this matchup, having proven himself on Sundays before with five DP World Tour victories to Smith’s two. While each has looked flawed this week at TPC Craig Ranch and sits T50 going into Sunday, Hojgaard’s game lends itself to higher upside.

Smith has struggled on the greens all season in 2026 and has ranked below field average in SG: Putting all three days thus far. Hojgaard, on the other hand, was elite in terms of SG: OTT (4th) and SG: Putting (11th) on Saturday. If that continues into Sunday, I like Hojgaard’s chances to find birdie opportunities in this putting contest.

Round 4 Matchup: Wyndham Clark over Keith Mitchell

Best Available odds: -108

Mitchell, like Smith, has struggled on Sundays this season, doing his work early in the week and coming back to the field thereafter. He posted a round of -7 on Thursday, -5 on Friday, and -3 on Saturday. It’s the putter and irons that concern me most with Mitchell, who ranked 48th in SG: Putting and 65th in SG: Approach on Saturday.

Clark, however, is riding the hot hand into Sunday. He is T2 at 19 under par and has a legitimate chance to win this tournament with a great round on Sunday. He is seeing the greens well now, ranking 1st in SG: Putting on Sunday, and has the ideal skillsets of driving distance and strong long iron play needed to score at TPC Craig Ranch.

Best of luck with your CJ Cup Byron Nelson DFS lineups and bets!
