California’s Red Hawk Casino Opens Entertainment Center Aimed At Families

Although casinos are generally seen as adult entertainment more than anything, that concept is slightly beginning to shift. Although you have to be of legal betting age to enter casinos and play games, different resorts are expanding to allow for more family-friendly entertainment.

The Las Vegas Strip, for example, now includes numerous spots for families to visit, such as The Big Apple Coaster & Arcade, Shark Reef Aquarium, Discovery Children’s Museum, and Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. And more and more casino resorts are adding all-ages entertainment, as seen with the recent Red Hawk Resort & Casino expansion.

Family-Friendly Apex Opens Up At Red Hawk Resort & Casino

The Apex, an entertainment center featuring plenty of different things to do, is open for business! The newly opened Apex, which is located at the Red Hawk Casino, was built on top of the parking garage. The 80,000-square foot attraction features plenty of family-friendly options, such as a virtual reality arcade, indoor go-karting, golf simulation, and a bowling alley with 18 lanes.

The Golfzon-built golf simulators let users try out different courses from around the world. The go-kart racetrack, which was developed by 360 Karting, is nearly a quarter mile long. Additionally, the Apex Grill sports bar has opened up, which features various video poker machines on its bar tops.

With The Apex having just opened on December 26th, Red Hawk Casino is continuing to build its fanbase. Red Hawk Casino CEO Bryan deLugo said that the aim, as you might expect, is to give families more entertainment options at the location. Plus, a hotel is coming soon to Red Hawk, with plans for 150 different rooms and suites for guests. The hotel is expected to be completed in early 2023.

About Red Hawk Resort & Casino

The Red Hawk Casino is located in Placerville, California and offers quite a bit for bettors to check out. Slot machines are plentiful at the location, with over 2,100 different machines available. The casino also has plenty of different options for table games, such as Single & Double Deck Blackjack, Face Up Pai Gow, Four Card Poker, Midi Baccarat, Golden Frog Baccarat, and DJ Wild Stud. And, for poker players, Red Hawk Casino & Resort features a High Limit Poker Room.

Plus, there are plenty of live entertainment options, with different concert genres from country and classic rock to R&B and dance music. And, when it comes to dining options, there’s everything from Henry’s Steakhouse and Koto Buffet to Pearl Asian Cuisine and The Burger Spot.

Unfortunately for sports bettors, there is no retail sportsbook available at the location due to sports wagering being prohibited in the state. Although November’s Prop 26 would have allowed for retail sports betting in the state, voters ultimately decided against it, with 67% voting “no” on the proposition. Prop 27 was another sports betting proposition on the ballot that would allow for California online sports betting, although a whopping 82.28% of residents voted against it.
